Step One: Choose Your Sleepy Time Sounds
Sleepy Time offers a wide assortment of audio tracks specially designed to lead you gently into the arms of slumber. You can choose from various sounds including the beach, birds, crickets, and white noise. Once you've selected your favorites, download them onto your device and you're 20 winks to 40. Sleepy Time is also able to mix up to three sounds so you can create your own personalized sleep sound profile.
Sound options include the following. In many cases, there are several different versions of each sound.

Step Two: Set the Sleep Timer
After choosing your favorite sounds, set the sleep timer. You can choose increments in minutes or hours. Or, if you feel like sleeping on the beach or are missing your cat while away from home, select the Continuous play option and you'll hear the soothing sound of waves or purrs all night long. The sleep timer continues to run after the screen turns off.

I have a kindle fire and bought about $20 worth of natural music before I found this app! if u play the thunderstorm screensaver w/ the sleepy time thunderstorm sounds its really cool. or the beach sounds w/ the fish screensaver to look @ while u drift off is nice.

This is a fantastic app! The current version (as of 7/7/2011) has 70 sounds that very realistically mimic a variety of background noises. You can layer up to 3 different sounds and adjust the volume separately on each to get the right balance for your comfort. I've used various sound machines to help me sleep for over 20 years. This is better than all of them!
I wish this app and these sounds were in a stand-alone machine so I could use it every day without worrying about wearing out my phone.

Camera?
This app leaves a watermark on the camera display. No way to disable. The only way to remove the watermark was to uninstall the app.

Sleepy Time for Kindle.
Its used as white noise when trying to sleep. It does the trick. It offers a collection of nature sounds that help drown out the noise.
