This is an excellent history/documentary of America's most famous and popular passenger train of the post-world-two era prior to the comming of Amtrak. The book is very accurate includes many photos, car diagrams,etc.

I am, admittedly, a "rail fan," so it was easy to like this book about the great years of a great train. But I think anyone with any interest in passenger train travel would enjoy this. I found the book to be an exceptionally well-written, informative text about the CZ. Great pictures and a great narrative. Mr. Zimmermann writes often about trains and--more recently--about cruise ships. His works are worth reading!
