This game is horrible.
You're walked from animal to animal by some over excited Ranger Bob type character where you're put in a position resembling shooting goats in a petting zoo. You are on rails through out the entire game, never able to move more than a few feet off the "designed" path without hitting an invisible wall. Some of the so called adventures are similar to being handed a rock and told to hit the floor with it. Afterward being told how great you are for finding the floor by Ranger Bob. The graphics are fairly well done though due to never being able to leave the narrow area the game wants you in you never get to actually interact with it and it all just becomes halfway decent eye candy in the distance. Installation is sometimes touch and go depending on your screen resolution and Operating System. While you can eventually get it working correctly it's hardly worth the effort. If you want a real hunting simulator with open areas, free ranging animals and the most realistic environment of any hunting game I'd suggest "The Hunter" instead. The Hunter looks and feels like a more realistic hunt when compared to this game which feels like it's sole purpose is to let little 10 year old Timmy feel good about his self esteem while shooting deer in a playpen from a walking trail.

This is the worst hunting game i've ever owned. First off the controles are very sluggish. Im a life long first person shooter fan, but this game i wouldent even consider as a shooter. The auto-targeting with the concentration button to shoot at vitals makes for a lousy hunting experience. its not in the least realistic how it jerks from where you are aiming to where it wants you to shoot. The animation is ok, for a early 90's game. The constant chatter from your guide almost makes you want to hunt with the sound off. The variety of animals you can shoot is nice, but the way that they are constantly throwing them at you is not realistic either. They spawn it at random, almost right on top of you. Long story short avoide this game.

not at all what I expected, I thought the guide was just going to walk me through the beginning stages of the game, but he stays with you through it all as far as I can tell. It is so bad that I didn't even make it through the whole game, the only reason I gave this title 2 stars instead of one was the graphics and other effects in the game. The thing that would of really been a hit with this title is if the guide would just introduce you to the game then let you hunt on your own, also showing the vitals and stuff on the game animals is really not necessary, after seeing them in a demo or something would have been sufficient. My best advise to someone thinking about buying this title would be to just try and find something more realistic unless you like a hunting game that plays more like an arcade game instead of a hunting simulator.

A little hard to navigate... I liked the first game (deer hunter) better... had more game options. With this game, the instructions are very general... can't do any thing until the level is finished... you have to just run around until you stumble onto the trigger that will let you get through the level... I'm not as impressed by this game...Amazon Verified Purchase ... It did come thru the mail in a week and a half after I purchased it.

Slight learning curve, but once you get use to it, it is really fun with fantastic, awesome graphics. I highly recommend to hunting and 1st Person Shooter enthusiasts.
