Good prose, bad erotica,

While the author seems to be a more than competent writer, his stories are startlingly unerotic. If I hadn't been looking to get off while reading these, they would have been fine, but the build up is protracted without sustaining a nice erotic hum, and the climactic scenes are too short. Further, the stories are extremely repetitious. (Unsurprising, as this is a collection of stories previously published in disparate magazines.)However, it is well enough written that I might try reading something else he's written if it's not supposed to be erotica. |
