Good product
Exactly what it is suppose to do. No need of the disc. Get the software from the Samsung web site.

Good cable, bad software
I bought this cable along with a mini car charger (also available from Bargaincell, for $2: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0041071UW/ref=cm_cr_mts_prod_img) so I can charge my phone either through the computer or in the car. This works fine, but I also wanted to use it to transfer data from phone to computer. Couldn't get the software to work (on DELL Windows XP)...

Not much you can say about this particular product. Either it works or it doesn't. The software installed, the cable fit the phone and data transferred as expected. No problems.

I bought this cable along with a mini car charger (also available from Bargaincell, for $2: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0041071UW/ref=cm_cr_mts_prod_img) so I can charge my phone either through the computer or in the car. This works fine, but I also wanted to use it to transfer data from phone to computer. Couldn't get the software to work (on DELL Windows XP). I also tried Samsung PC Studio software downloaded from Samsung site - couldn't get it to work. (Of course, these issues could be due to high user "density".) I figured out how to use Bluetooth to transfer my photos from the phone to the computer, and that works well, so I just use the cable for charging the phone.

Usb Data cable did not work... I was unable to download anything from phone to computer....very dissapointed! the blue tooth works well.
