Even after I followed the directions of making sure both devices were turned off first, it still wouldn't work.

I replaced that one with this one, and so far, this one works perfectly with my Nexus 7 (2013).

Nothing wrong with this. I plugged it in. It worked.

I drove the wire that charges the Nexus 5 with the wall charger cord. No matter how much I used the fone to play video and stream television, the fone stayed charged. Period.

There was no setup. Just plug it in.

The only disappointment was the picture quality on the TV. Streaming over a cell fone limits the HD quality. Nothing to be done about that. It was not the cord's fault.

I had heard about these USB to HDMI adapters months ago, and now I have one. I read reviews on several products and chose this one. I feel I lucked out in my choice. Reliable, serviceable. What more can I say.

i use this cable whenever i want to play emulators on the tv with my phone + the moga hero power controller. really been an awesome gaming experience ever since i got this! and together with the retroarch app, it's practically made my phone a powerful game console! i still couldn't believe how a thin "brick" like my phone can be so jampacked. i can play nds, psx, n64, among other retro stuff. a/v is very good quality on my nexus4 btw. but sometimes it says input device is undetected or something like that. i always have to reconnect the cable whenever that shows up for it to work again. i use a remote device (bluetooth) like the moga controller to navigate my phone because it seems to disconnect quite often with the slightest contact with the cable. but it still works if navigating via touchscreen you just need to be rather steady. haven't tried the charge cable because i couldn;t seem to get the included usb to reach the nearest charge adapter. some users say it helps with the connection problem if you charge your device while using it but others say it makes it disconnect alot. i have yet to try that one.

I just ried it and it worked on my Nexus 7 2013!! :) Have to use it for a couple of weeks to see what happens, but so far so good! I was scared since I purchased another one that didn't work.

I originally purchased the other model with separate HDMI cable, but that was defective. I replaced that one with this one, and so far, this one works perfectly with my Nexus 7 (2013).

This device seems to be working perfectly. Just bought to replace another model that was wonky from the get go, then quit working on me. The length of the cords is great. Everything stays behind my receiver except for the single usb cord that I plug my phone into. Much less clutter than the last one I had. Picture quality is great, sound is great. Hopefully this one lasts me a while. Edit: finally fully crapped out on me. Why can't any of these products last more than a few freaking months. Stopped working not long after return period ended. Would gladly pay more money for better quality. Next one is coming from somewhere local so I can just return it every time it s***s out on me.

Not bad for the price. Does cut out once in a while where it just flashes black when you have it wired up without power to the device. But problem is solved when you plug in a power source. Not a big deal, just a minor inconvenience. It doesn't do it all the time. Maybe once every movie.

It was a hard decision which cable to buy for my Nexus 7. I got this one and decided to plug it in the way I wanted to use it and not try any spooky method mentioned here. It works. It works great. You can even run the power cable to the USB port on your TV. Decoding about 2 hours of mkv on my tablet on TV USB power dropped my battery about 20%. I switched to the charger included with my tablet and watched 2 hours of Netflix, dropped 2%. With the tablet in sleep mode, it recharges.

I use this with my LG Optimus G pro and it works like a champ to project the creen of my phone to a the full TV. If I'm at a friend or relative's place and they don't have a web connection through their big-screen TV I can use it to stream an onine streaming video feed from my phone to their TV so we won't miss a game--and with a good feed you get very good definition

The only star off is more of a limtation of the TV and my cell--even using the in-TV usb port for charging, the thing will drain the phone of power. You might need a wall adapter or something that can supply a lot of power for keeping the phone charged--chances are the TV's usb port (if it has one) won't cut it.

Thus, I'd recommend it--but with the caveat that it will drain your phone's battery life.
