I needed a Type A to Type B 3.0 USB cable a little longer than what I had. The cable is flexible enough to be useful, but rigid enough to be secure. The overall craftsmanship is on par with that of more expensive cables. There are no scuffs or burs, and the connections are snug.

Does exactly what is required of it. The cable is of high quality and should last many years under moderate use.

Be advised many items on 3.0 require a chord shorter than 3' to work as expected.

It was well worth the risk since it worked great with the external drive case I used.

WHOA! I got one of these cables and a USB hub and now I have three monitors. The standard laptop one and two big flat panels. The flat panels and a bunch of other peripherals are driven by the single USB 3.0 cable.

NOTES
- USB 3.0 cable is a bit thicker than the 2.0 cable.
- USB 3.0 does interfere with 2.4 gigahertz devices (It kills their range by quite a bit)
- USB 3.0 is really pushing the limits and the 3+ spec is getting up close to Thunderbolt 1.0 speeds.

What this means is that there are a bunch of technologies that are coming out as a result. For example, now we have USB hubs that have DVI and HDMI out ports. That's how I plugged in my dual flat panels. This is wonderful because I can just plug in one cord to my laptop and all my peripherals are plugged into the hub. When I have to run, I just unplug one USB plug and the power plug from the laptop.

This particular cable is well made, a bit thicker than your regular USB2 cable. other than that, it looks just like a USB 2 cable.

Now there is a very clear difference between them. USB 3 cable has a bunch of extra connectors inside if you look closely but the technology is backwards compatible so you can use this 3.0 cable on USB 2.0 and it'll work just fine but you won't get any extra speed.

Great at first. Quick delivery, etc. Then I started getting messages on my computer that the drive was not found. A few seconds later the drive was back. After 2 weeks it totally stopped working. Another cable works fine, and I tried this product 4 times to be sure it was bad.

Got a new cable quickly from vendor and it has remained working for 5+ months. THANKS

I have a new iMac with 3.0 connectivity and a printer which is removed from the computer by a distance of 12 or more feet. I thought this cable would be the answer, but I didn't factor in the different shape of a USB 3.0 "B" connector from a USB 2.0 "B" connector. The "A" connector is the same for USB 3.0 and USB 2.0. However, the USB 3.0 "B" connector is radically different, so much so that it won't fit into the port of my Canon MSX-512 printer.

This looks like a nice cable, but you'll need a USB 3.0 enabled printer to realize its speed and efficiency. And unlike some 3.0 cables, it won't "retrofit" into the port of a USB 2.0 printer. The maker's description of "backward compatibility" applies to the device using USB 3.0 "A" connectors (i.e. the computer).

I've got this hooked up between a USB 3.0 external drive and a USB 3.0 hub and have had no problems with full-speed transfers. I run HDTune to measure throughput, and I was able to verify that it was pretty near max rate. Haven't had any problems since purchase, and it's a good price. Can't go wrong with this cable!

USB 3.0 Cables are DIFFERENT - USB 3.0 devices will work with USB 2.0 cables, but you will be missing the performance expected from USB 3.0, if you use USB 2.0 cables
If you are spending money for USB 3.0 devices, buy the appropriate cables!

Just what I needed, great replacement usb 3 cable and I mainly bought it for a longer length on my fire/waterproof external drive. Nice fit, tight and not loose so it won't just fall out like some cheap cords.

Bought this for my external hard drives and I get 55-105mps.
Running on Windows 8.1 without an issue.

Great purchase
