I was looking for a usb cable for my lg vx5300 to retrieve some pictures from the phone. They were taken after I'd disconnected the phone service. I was very pleased when I was able to locate this cable for $.01 + 2.98 S & H.

I downloaded the driver and then the bitpim software - both were found online. Once I opened the software I searched for "wallpaper" and I was able to retrieve all pictures from my phone. I then copied them to a file on my pc. Mission accomplished!

cable is what it says it is. works great with my vx5300 and internet downloadable b**p*m program--can access all my phone data, update and sync both ways now!

We were able to recover photos from an old disconnected phone! And the price is amazing.Thanks,will shop more if needed and recommend to all .

Cable worked great, I just had to download the driver for my phone.
Then I had to download the software to get the pics off of my phone.

Yeah, you have to search the internet for the drivers so that BitPim will see the device. But being able to extract the contacts and pictures from a phone whose screen is kaput worth the effort. Can't beat the price of a penny plus $2.98 in shipping, either.

Used it with BitPim to transfer my contacts from my LGVX8100 to
my new LG800G. Worked great as both a data cable and a charging cable.

The item arrived very quickly and in great shape. However, when I finally got around to trying to plug it into my phone to use it, I found that it did NOT fit my phone despite the description stating that it would fit LG VX5200 phones. It would have been helpful to see a picture of the non-USB connector part of the cable prior to purchasing it as I would have been able to see whether the grooves/connector piece would fit into my phone. Ultimately, I don't know if the problem is with the cable (e.g., not actually being for a VX5200) or if the problem is that my LG VX5200 is an older model not covered by this cable.

I ordered this cable to retrieve some photos from my old LG VX5300. However, upon receiving it, I tried to plug it in and unfortunately it DOES NOT fit. I can't speak about the other models, but if you have a VX5300 and you order this, you're simply getting ripped off.

The worst part is that when I got it, it looked almost exactly like my wall-charger, and so I tossed the packaging (assuming it was sure to work). Now I can't return it. I guess that's what I deserve for putting my trust in Amazon.

My purchase arrived in the mail quickly and in perfect condition. Can't wait to download all of my pictures this week!

Good service and cable. cannot understand the cd that came with it . Does not appear to work with my LG vx8300phone.
