4.0 out of 5 stars Reliable, for the most part...
I use this item in my car with my ipod and the auxilary input in my car stereo. I enjoy the fact that the wire is very lengthy, giving the option to allow passengers in the back of my car to change the music. I have encountered small moments when there was noise when I would move the wire around at the input jack. However, for the most part, the product is reliable and I...

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor quality audio cable
The Cables To Go 6ft 3.5mm M/M Stereo Audio Cable was delivered as promised, on time, and appeared to be in good shape. But the quality of the product is not good. The cable was purchased for use in connecting an MP3 player to the audio jack on a car stereo. After only a couple of weeks, the sound quality started to drop off. 4.0 out of 5 stars Beware of In-Car use, April 29, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Cables To Go 21062 6ft Stereo Audio Cable (Electronics)
This appears to be a competent basic level cable. I connected it and it worked perfectly. However, of all the reviewers who experienced a problem with this cable, 75% said it was in-car use, 13% said it was in-home use, and about 13% didn't say where it was used. The extreme temperature range and vibration this cable sees being stored and used in-car must be too punishing for such a basic level cable, causing this unacceptably high failure rate.

In-car users would be wise to choose a heavier duty cable. Heavier duty cables cost more, but so does the constant replacement of cheaper cables. Cable manufacturers and distributors should provide more meaningful cable specifications so consumers can judge and compare cable quality and durability; some manufacturers do (Cables to GO), (Cables for Less), but most don't.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor quality audio cable, August 31, 2008
This review is from: Cables To Go 21062 6ft Stereo Audio Cable (Electronics)
The Cables To Go 6ft 3.5mm M/M Stereo Audio Cable was delivered as promised, on time, and appeared to be in good shape. But the quality of the product is not good. The cable was purchased for use in connecting an MP3 player to the audio jack on a car stereo. After only a couple of weeks, the sound quality started to drop off. We wondered if the connection was bad, so we disconnected and reconnected the plug, but that didn't solve the problem. It turns out that the cable has a break somewhere inside the plastic coating and the only way to get the proper sound quality is to keep moving the cable until it gets to a position where the wires connect. The cable was cheap, so it's not worth trying to send it back and get a refund.

A must have cable for connecting your PC audio to your new LCD monitor. No heavy lifting here; it either works or it doesn't. It works.

Package arrived from Abacus POSTAGE DUE ($2.00) but the vendor could not offer an explanation via email. Use your own judgement here.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for Ipod & Iphone, March 18, 2009

This review is from: Cables To Go 21062 6ft Stereo Audio Cable (Electronics)
I bought this to plug up my Ipod 4G & Iphone 3G to my Aux input in my Jeep - this cord is not only long enough to stretch to the back seat but it does not have any static or anything. I am extremely pleased!

Product also arrived early.

Thank you!

1.0 out of 5 stars Pretty much useless after a couple weeks, April 9, 2009
This review is from: Cables To Go 21062 6ft Stereo Audio Cable (Electronics)
I bought this product and, like I said, it began to fail in just a few weeks, about three, I think. I use it to feed input into my computer. The sound goes into one end of this cable sounding clear and comes out like bad radio reception. The outside of the cable seems to be sturdy but clearly the wires, the part that matters, is not well constructed at all.
It was cheap, and I use it to record radio static, so I don't really care, but ultimately this is a piece of junk.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worked great for a couple of months..., October 27, 2008

I bought it to use in my car for connecting my Zune to my car stereo. I was always careful with it, when I was done using it I coiled it up and placed it in my center console. After a couple of months of light use though, it would start playing only out of one speaker or the other, or maybe not either side. I jiggled it around until it made a connection so it would work. But the wires inside the cable were clearly damaged even though the outside of the cable seemed sturdy enough.

On the plus side, it was only a few dollars so not much money down the drain. On the negative side, it was only a few dollars so I probably got what I paid for. I'm now buying a new cable (from a different manufacturer) to try again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Product Review, January 8, 2009
The cables are the "best" deal for the money. They work just as well as the cables you get from your local electronics store at a fraction of the cost!

1.0 out of 5 stars Tip broke off in my iPod, April 21, 2009

This cable worked okay for while, then the connection started getting a little bad, requiring me to have to twist and bend the cable to get sound from both channels to my stereo. Then after about a year of use the tip of the connector broke clear off in my wife's iPod, where it is now stuck rendering it unusable. I would warn people against using this cable in case it breaks in their mp3 player. There are much higher quality products out there and this isn't worth the $2.50.

Frankly, with today's gadgets, I run into the issue where I want to run my MP3 played to a computer, or into a car stereo player. This little cable really works for me!

My cable arrived in great condition, and was shipped with no issues. The cable itself has good insulation, and feels heavier than most light wires used for audio cables like this. What I really like is that it is the solid round cable, and it does not use that cheap, flimsy dual wire to connect the heads.

The connectors are a nice and snug fit in all of my audio devices, and I get great sound quality from them. I really found this item to be really useful, and a great buy! The price was awesome too!
