This is an excellent toslink/optical cable that has performed perfectly. I have used it to replace an analog RCA-mini plug cable which connected my Apple Airport Express to my home theater receiver. This optical cable allows the receiver to do the D-to-A conversion. The sound is SO much better.
The cable itself is an ideal length and seems sturdy. The connectors fit well and the cable is resistant to unwanted bending. A quality piece at a fair price.

The clerk at the local Best Buy had no clue what I was talking about when I said I needed an cable to go from a mini-optical SP/DIF (Soundblaster audio card) to a standard TOSLink (home theater amp), not even the home theater specialist had a clue. This cable fits the need perfectly. Good length, construction feels solid and it's almost as flexible as a wire cable.

Fiber optic cables are far more fragile than traditional copper cables. The biggest danger is in bending the cable enough to break or kink the lightpipe. This cable has a very thick jacket, perfect for protecting the lightpipe from kinks and excessive bending.

I was able to quickly connect the optical audio out from my PS3 to my MacBook pro. After downloading the free LineIn app from Rogue Amoeba to send audio-in to my main speakers, I'm able to play music on my mac along with game sounds.

This cable works perfectly when playing DVD's on my Mac Mini. I have it connected to my Onkyo receiver, and the surround sound is awesome! I would recommend this cable for any of the newer Mac notebooks or mini's if you want digital sound on your receiver, and need a long cable. I was using a standard stereo plug before, but this is definitely the way to go! Don't forget to set the Mac to use the Digital Output when playing DVD's, or you're stuck with stereo.

I used this to connect my MacBook Pro 13 to my receiver to get digital audio. It works like a charm.

You will need that for older MacBooks to get digital audio. Newer ones (mid 2010) get digital audio thru displayport to hdmi adapters.

Bought this cable to connect my Apple AirPort Express to my Onkyo receiver. Works as expected. However this doesn't seem to work any better or worse than the mini to RCA analog connector cable I had. I was hoping for richer information sent from AirTunes to the receiver regarding track listing, but that isn't the case.

Bought this cable to replace my Monster analog cable for connecting my AirPort Express to my Denon amplifier. It works great, sounds much better than analog, and is a quality cable for the money. Highly recommend!

A nice accessory to the Pioneer VSX 9040 TXH receiver. Connects to my MacBook Pro in the optical output (which also doubles as the headphone jack). iPod used as the wifi remote. Good cable so far.

I imagine most of the people buying this cable are going to be purchasers of Apple products since they seem to be one of the bigger brands using mini plug Toslink. I didn't have much to say in this review other than to mention the cables are of good quality and I can confirm that they work fine with my Airport Express.

This optical cable is very useful to receive crystal, even 3D pure sound, from any digital audio device (with optical output)to home audio system.
