People say you can't tell the difference between composite, component or HDMI and for the most of us that is probably true. I just wouldn't settle with a projector with HDMI and component video connections and not use them.I've always had my DVD and receiver installed in a shelf below the PT AE900U, but now it was time to have them the right way, in front of me. The 50ft cable came in handy. Couldn't tell the difference between this brand and a 10ft Monster Cable 2 I used before, which costed me $80.

Long enough, but can the video equipment support it?,

I wanted this cable to connect my computer's ATI 3800 to my Visio television. The cable was reasonably priced and long enough to reach across the living room. Unfortunately, it is so long that the video card and the TV didn't recognize that there was a device at the other end of the cable. I think that this cable might be too long to use without using some sort of amplifier/repeater.

So far these cables are great. I'm running them to a projector from my direct tv box. They seem to be working perfect so far. I bought a cheaper pair off amazon that I had to return because of horrible signal quality. But these seem perfect so far. The only gripes anyone could possibly have are maybe the ends could fit slightly tighter. But that is entirely not needed.

I didnt know anything about red blue green when I bought this... I use it for a backup to my HDMI cable that is hooked up to a projector.... When using this the picture is good but not great.... So I hardly use.... HDMI makes a difference.....

Before I installed these cables, I did a side by side test with a 6ft HDMI cable from a DVD player to the projector. The HDMI cable went directly from the DVD player to the projector. To simulate the installation, I went from the source to a 12 ft component cable, through wall connectors, to these component cables, and then to the projector. There was a slight, but noticeable drop-off in both color and clarity compared to the HDMI installation, but not too bad considering the connections, length of cable, and cost of this cable. To improve on this, I would probably have to spend 3 times as much as this cable cost.
