Converts HDMI to DVI with HDCP,

I bought this cable to connect my Playstation 3 to an HDTV set that has only DVI (I think it's DVI-I) but no HDMI. This cable works beautifully. Image quality is really good. The price just can't be beat.
You should be aware that while HDMI carries both audio and video, DVI is video only, so you still need to route the audio to your TV somehow. For example, I use an optical digital audio cable to do that (together with an expensive converter box as my old HDTV set doesn't have an optical input).

I purchased this cable to connect a PC to Samsung S4095D HDTV. And the cable worked great; but.. be warned that connecting PCs to HDTVs (via DVI/HDMI) is fraught with lots of pain. The main problem is that the PC desktop is cut off so the borders are not visible; not a problem in movies, but totally breaks games.
While you will find lots of people on internet forums who have "made it work", I spent days twiddling drivers and settings and never managed to make it work. The difficulty in making this work seems to be some (undocumented) property of the HDTV. In my case, I assumed that "has HDMI port" meant that I could use this cable to make DVI work. In the end I switched back to using a VGA cable which looks fine and worked the first time. So, the cable worked and was cheap; but it may not be the right solution to the problem (connecting a PC to your HDTV) which one would think is its primary purpose of existence.

This cable was dirt-cheap and did exactly what I wanted it to do: connect my MacBook Pro to my TV. Couldn't be happier with the price or the quality.

Works Perfectly,

Connects my cable box (with DVI out) and my TV (with HDMI in) perfectly. Keep in mind, you'll need some other way to get sound to the TV, since this cable doesn't carry audio.
Don't let the low price of this thing throw you off, as if anything good can't possibly be that cheap. You really don't have to pay the outrageous prices they charge for HDMI and DVI cables in the big box stores.

Just what I needed and much cheaper than what Best Buy would try to sell you. Hooked this up to my PC and 55 inch HDtv and it works great. Im at 1080P and it looks sensational. Ofcourse HDTV's always overscan computer input so I had to scale it back to 1836 X 1024 but who cares, it looks awesome and it fits the screen perfectly. Id definitely recommend it. Anyone who has had problems with their computer needs to blame either their TV or video card because this cable is not the problem.

This converter cable was exactly what I needed to connect my new HD DVD player to my older Sony HD TV. Worked perfectly (note that since DVI lacks the audio signal, a seperate audio connection is also required).

I have an older HDTV (1080i) that has 1 DVI HD input and 2 component HD video inputs but no HDMI. I use my component inputs for my digital cable receiver and HDDVD player. I used this cable to hook up my PS3 to the DVI connection and it works just fine. Great product for a great price.

HDMI cables at retail go for stupid insane prices. Some start around $40, and I've seen them north of $150 for Monster Cables. Total rip off. See, back in the days when audio/video was still handled over analog cable, you could (arguably) get much better quality by using high end super-cables with stuff like gold plating. Companies made a fortune charging idiots who didn't know any better for these high end cables.
Now, we have digital audio and video, like HDMI. One of the neat things about digital is that the signal doesn't degrade. You either have one or you don't, and the cable quality simply controls the maximum length. These companies couldn't simply have their market collapse though, so they still sell these overpriced cables to suckers. You're reading this review, so you're not a sucker. Don't buy expensive digital cables, ever. This one works perfectly well connecting my computer to my Vizio TV, and quality is perfect.

Believe the other review about PC's or laptops. The cable might work fine for other home electronics outputting the correct resolutions but even with Windows Vista I couldn't get this to spit out the correct resolution. My video card should be more than capable of outputting a 720p compatible resolution but the cable/hardware recognition won't let me select the 1368x720 resolution.
