I bought this to replace the factory supplied cable that appeared to have developed a soon to be broken wire as the video would without warning during gameplay disappear and re-appear. Why I chose this cable was for the S-Video output as I have not made the HD jump but my TV does have S-Video output. The picture does seem a bit cleaner using S-Video and the cable feels rugged and durable.
Well worth the money.

These cables are surprisingly good, i purchased it so i could get high def videos from my capture card and it looks great. i would recomend this product to everyone

This cable works great. I hooked it right up w/o any problems. I am using the s-video plug to drive a Dazzle video recorder. This is a much more cost effective component than the Microsoft cable.
