5.0 out of 5 stars Works as expected!
I'm using this as an in-wall IR extender. I have Cat6 ran throughout the house and I have one of these behind the main equipment cabinet and the other hooked up near the projector to send the IR signal from the Harmony RF Extender (Harmony 1100) up the wall and to the projector. It works perfectly and the signal makes it and the project responds as it should...

1.0 out of 5 stars Sadly, no good
This item does not fit in a standard keystone slot. Disappointed. I've tried very hard to get this thing to seat all the way, but it simply won't settle all the way into the slot. Every time I put in a 1/8" jack, it pops out and I have to open up the whole thing. I haven't had this problem with any other keystone jacks (and I've used a lot of them!) Not so good,...

I must admit though, I had a little bit of trouble due to the lack of instructions, but I finally figured it out! I thought that the terminals were self-splicing and they are not, so be sure to strip the wire and only insert bare wire into the terminals! Took a bit of troubleshooting for me to figure that one out.

Other than that, it fits very snugly into a standard keystone wall plate and looks like it belongs there.

Go for a different one.
