3.0 out of 5 stars so so headphones
pros: long range, big comfortable ear covers, adjustable head strap, plugs into my tv, pc, mp3 player no problem.

cons: if volume is up too high, the sound gets staticy.

overall i would recommend these to people who aren't looking for high quality sound but are looking for long range to move around.

I didn't expect much when I ordered these. I needed wireless headphones so I didn't wake up my girlfriend while I watched TV late at night. These had a rebate when I ordered them and were the lowest price so I bought them.

Turns out they are great quality for the price. Great range as I can walk into the kitchen several rooms away from my bedroom with the headphones on and still listen to my show. Great fabric on the ear pieces so they don't buildup heat or collect moisture. They recharge when you set them in the holder and even come with nimh batteries.

The headphones are a bit bulkier that what I was originally looking for, but they're light and don't get in the way. They have a clear sound. I'm really happy with my purchase. Thanks Amazon!

It's pretty rare when the best priced choice turns out to be the best product. I really studied this purchase before ordering because these headphones were so cheap compared to the others. This is the third set of wireless headphones we've purchased. They are by far the best value.

I wanted a comfortable headset to watch TV with. I chose wireless instead of IR because I wanted to be able to use the headset in more than one room. This headset fills the bill nicely. The audio quality is better than I expected and I used it to listen to music as well.

Setup was very easy. The steps are:
1. Install the two AAA rechargeable batteries in the battery compartment of the headset.
2. Connect stand/base-station to power using the provided ac adapter.
3. Connect the music source to the base-station. Without any any adapter you can connect directly to any device that has a 3.5 mm headset jack. Supplied with the headset are converters to RCA and standard (.25 in) headphone.
4. Turn on the headset using the slide switch on the bottom right of the headset. Note the red LED on the right side of the headset when the headset is powered up.
5. Place the headset on your ears and enjoy. The volume control is located on the left bottom of the headset.

Trouble shooting:

I was not initially thrilled with the audio quality. It sounded like listening to a weak FM station and there were occasional signal drop outs and "pops" in the audio. I was able to correct this by selecting another channel by sliding the channel select switch on the base-station. If audio is not heard, just press the "auto scan" button on the left earpiece.

Other comments:

I find the soft cushy ear muffs to be very comfortable. The headset has a strap that goes across the top of the head and I sometimes feel the slight pressure that it places there. The pressure on the side of the head from the ear muffs, in my opinion, is about right.

Some reviewers complained that it was hard to get the headset to sit on the stand correctly to charge the headset batteries. It seems awkward at first because there is not much feedback that it's correctly in place. There is a delay before the charge light comes on and this may be the source of frustration. I no longer experience any problem with this.

I highly recommend this headset. Look for the best price: I found that it varies quite a bit from vendor to vendor.

I purchased these headphones because I live with 2 roommates and Im quite the night owl and my favorite show is 24, so you can imagine the explosions that are going off at 2am. Also, I dont have to press pause any longer if I have to take a bathroom break (unless of course u really need to see whats happening, but for reruns....let that sucker play on)!

I also own a PS3 and love action games (more explosions) and I am a audio engineer/producer/DJ, so I am messing around with audio all the time.

The quality as far as sound is not too shabby for wireless phones. I own a pair of motorola wireless bluetooth motorokr headphones that I use at the gym and the bass produced on them is great. These headphones however are more on the trebly side which is great for watching TV shows because you can hear what people are saying more clearly.

I listen to audio as well with these headphones because I hate wires hanging off my head, but the sound is not as great as wired headphones. So if I was producing a song I would never wear these, but overall general listening I like to use these.

ALSO!! Something that has been happening is if the volume being sent to the headphone transmitter is 'very low' it seems to shut off. I guess it assumes there is no audio being sent to it and it powers down. It is sometimes hard to get it to come back on which can be annoying.

The battery life is great. They havent died on me yet and I hardly leave it on the charger much. Some people complain about getting the headphones on the charger station. It is not a problem for me. I own a Logitech Harmony remote and that thing is A NIGHTMARE to get on the charger. So this seems like a peice of cake to me.

They are very BIG as far as the height over your head. So dont expect to be doing runway in these. I wore them for a few days before I walked by a mirror and realized they looked a little rediculous, but they arent big enough to cause a weight distribution problem on your head in comparison to other headphones.

Now about the comfort...I would say they are overall comfortable. Sometimes I have to move them around because the inside is pressing againt the rim of my ear which I do not like. This is the case with pretty much every headphones I have ever worn. And I dont have big ears, so I guess I am just picky. But I have worn them for hours at a time already and they are not that bad at all.

Overall, I love these headphones and would recommend them, especially for the price/quality comparison.

***UPDATED 7/14/10

Just a few updates...the headphones are 'now' a little hard to get on the charger after wearing them for a couple months because they are now stretched out a bit. Still not a huge deal, but they do not fall into the charger nicely as they used to when I first bought them.

The low audio shut off thing is confirmed. It happens a lot and is sometimes very hard to get it to come back on. Just make sure the audio being sent to it is turned up pretty high and you wont have this problem.

Also...when the battery dies it seems to produce static through the headphones, making you believe there is something wrong it the connection or position of the headphones. It happened to me quite a few times and I am pretty sure this happens when the battery is too low. It would have been nice if there was some sort of audible beep warming for the battery status being low.

I bought this as a cheaper replacement to my old Sennheiser RS120 wireless headphones that gave up the ghost. I was disappointed right out of the box. The clam shell packaging was impossible to open without destroying it. Then I plugged it in and started listening. There are four flaws in these headphones that makes these a no go for me:

1) there is a discernable hiss whenever it makes a sound. Does not matter if I turn the volume all the way up or very low. The hiss always surrounds the music being played. Very distracting.
2) there seems to be an automatic volume adjustment that is engaging seemingly randomly. This means that the volume will drop momentarily and then go back to the prior level. Makes me cringe every time it happens.
3) the recharging stand is too sensitive to the position of the headphones in order to charge the phones. This means that you have to pay close attention to see if the green charging light comes on to confirm that you put the headphones on the charger correctly.
4) you have to switch the headphones off in order to charge them and the switch is a very small, cheap feeling 2 position switch. I always feel like I am going to break it every time I use it. There has to be a better switch that they could have chosen.

Overall, the Sennheiser RS120 926 MHz Wireless RF Headphones with Charging Cradle is a much better product. Too bad it stopped working about a year after I bought it.

These are a very nice sit of wireless RECHARGEABLE headphones. I don't believe you will find a better product for the price. One thing you should note though, I thought these were defective when i fist got these, I found out later though that to get the power LEDs to come on you have to have the 3.5mm plugged in with sound coming through it or the lights does not come on even the charging light. Now after sound has come through it they charge just find and the lights come on like they are suppose to.

3.0 out of 5 stars If only I had my computer somewhere else, April 1, 2010

I had a lot of problems with these headphones but I still use them so they do have a use. After I bought my set, it stopped working on day two. I still don't know what happened to them but I ended up replacing the batteries and they did eventually work. The one problem I do still have is the crackling noise. I thought it had something to do with the TV or maybe my power fluctuated enough for it to affect the headset but it was neither. I soon discover that the headset was somehow picking up data transfer from the computer modem. The thing is that t is not a WiFi but just a router. Still, when the computer was busy sending or receiving data (which is often), the headset would pick up background noise. So, I have to actually shutdown the computer to get a clear signal.

The good parts: Yes, you can pick up the signal from different rooms and it is nice to actually get up and walk elsewhere while still listening to the TV. And, yes, it is great to watch TV without disturbing anyone else. There are three channel settings, so it is possible to have three headsets listening to different things in the same house (it doesn't stop the computer from interfering though).

The bad parts: Well, there is that computer glitch. But also this is for TV and not music. The sound quality is just not there. The stand does make it difficult to set the headphones just right to charge all the time. I wish they would have just included a simple plug connector.

I am going to live with these and I am glad to have wireless headphones, but I would not buy them again or recommend them.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT PHONES FOR THE PRICE--NO REGRETS HERE!!!, December 19, 2010

This review is from: Cables To Go Audio Unlimited 900MHz Wireless Stereo Headphones (SPK-9100) (Electronics)
Initially purchased this product for when my mom is visiting with us. She's got some hearing issues and usually wound up nearly blowing us out of the house when in charge of the TV volume. This solved the problem quite well. She can use these to listen at a volume that works for her while the rest of the family can listen at a level that is more reasonable from the TV itself.

Even after mom went home, I found myself using these late in the evening when I'd have a program on when everyone else was in bed. I could have the headphone volume up loud enough to hear all the dialogue, without worrying that louder movie passages would disturb anyone else.

I originally ordered a set of infrared headphones for this task, but found (for whatever reason) that if the screen on the plasma had very much white in the field, that there was interferance on the headphones -- weird... I sent those headphones into the game room for the kids wii system (hooked to a big tube TV) and there was no interferance from that TV, so some sort of an issue with compatibility with my Panasonic plasma (shrug).

These headphones use RF (radio), not infrared. Their range is phenominal. The sound quality is as good as I expect from my wired stereo headphones. Not a lick of interferance that I've ever noticed. I can leave the room and go to the other end of the house to grab a snack, and continue to hear the Program I'm watching--not a hint of losing signal...

Had read some previous reviews panning the charge contacts. There is a little truth there. The phones/charge interface is a little finicky, but it's not impossible--especially since I was ready for it after reading the reviews.

All in all, couldn't be more pleased. 5 months into the ownership experience, I've had no issues worth noting. These things work, and I wouldn't hesitate to re-order them again for a similar need. Definitely a thumbs-up from this side of the aisle!!!
