This is a really great adapter.

When installed, the adapter only extends outward about 1/2 inch beyond the face of the port where it plugs in. If you have a fixed flat panel wall mount with very little clearance between the wall and the TV, this adapter will solve your problem. Since you don't want to be bending a fiber optic cable to the point where it breaks the fiber strand, this 90 degree adapter provides an abrupt directional change that you'd never be able to get by just bending the cable without damaging it. Keep in mind that, yes, you can bend a fiber cable 90 degrees, but you definitely can't bend it enough at the end termination (the plug) so it fits in a 1/2 inch gap.

Another great feature of this adapter is that it swivels a full 360 degrees, when it's plugged in, so you can aim it in the best direction to suit your connection needs.

I'm not sure if the last reviewer was referring only to the cheaper right-angle Toslink adapters sold elsewhere on this site, or if he experienced problems with this unit in terms of receiving the proper adapter, but amazon shipped the correct adapter (it is exactly as pictured on this page), and it worked just fine. I was happy to see a company made such an adapter, as my installation required one.

The price was right, it arrived quickly, it was easy to install and it just works. I plugged it in and have forgotten about it.

it's a great product, especially for getting in those tight to reach places. shipped fast, looks pretty well made. if i ever have to buy anything like this in the future, i'd get the same thing again

This right angle adapter with 360 degree swivel allowed me to push my LG 55" to within one inch of the wall. I lost no reception and now for a couple of bucks reduced the profile of my TV.

after reading the reviews on this product I was not real sure on whether to purchase this or not. I wasn't finding anything that would work locally so I took the plunge and bought this, it worked great. I have a sound bar that we put on the floor and the design is so that when you use a different optical cable it can't sit flat on anything. This adapter worked perfectly, I would recommend this this product.

This right angle adapter is perfect for tight spaces. Most low-profile tv wall mounts leave little room for the various cables which may need to be connected. Sharp bends/kinks are not optimal for Toslink optical cables. The 360-degree rotating head provides the ultimate in flexiblity for cable routing. Outstanding value!

Needed this adapter to connect into a wall mounted sound bar. Not much clearance in the back so this adapter solved the problem beautifully. The 360 degree swivel is a nice touch. Happy with the item and received in a timely manner.

Vendors seem to have a problem telling the difference between a toslink right angle adapter and a toslink to mini-optical adapter. Two times in a row I tried to buy a toslink right angle adapter and both times I ended up receiving a mini-optical. Until the vendors figure out what they are selling, stay away from the low cost right angle adapters here.
