5.0 out of 5 stars Yup. It's an adapter.
If you've got an HDMI cable, this thing can adapt the hell out of it. Just plug in your cable, sit back, and watch some no-holds-barred adapting. Solid construction, good heft, and all the pins in all the right places makes this one must-have adapter.

does not fit canon vixia HF200 (or HF20) mini hdmi port. the product shipped is more of a block rectangle shape and does not taper (like the one shown in the image) to fit mini hdmi area under flap on HF200. completely frustrating and flat out misleading.

I purchased this for monitoring video output from canon HF S11 and 5DMarkII on TV monitors. This transition fits the cameras and HDMI cables and works perfectly.

My advice is not to buy this adapter. The mini HDMI connector fits so loosely that the video connection between the camera and television cannot be maintained.
A total waste of money, but too inexpensive to return. I replaced it with a cable having mini HDMI at one end and HDMI at the other. It worked perfectly.

Tried to use the adapter connect Canon 5D Mark II camera to HDTV. The signal disappears frequently because of faulty adapter.
