This is a necessity for anyone who has a car deck with aux in. Eliminates the need for volume adjustment on the ipod which is great, and is inexpensive compared to similar cords that go for $40 here in Canada. Retractable cord is good when you need to store it away as the wires won't get tangled up. Only drawback is that because it utilizes the dock port, you won't be able to charge your ipod; so fully charge if going on long road trips!

Great adapter for ipod. We use it in our Sienna which has an AUX jack. Only drawback.... doesn't charge the ipod.

This cable works fine with my Nano but no sound when connected w/ my IPhone.

This is exactly what I needed for my car. It's surprising that they are so hard to find. I went to countless storess looking for one of these before I found them on Amazon. If you have a car with an AUX port then this is a no brainer.

Well I think I'll just do a pros/cons thing for this

Pros:
-It works well!!
-Its pretty flexible fits can fit easily inside car without hinder
-retractable cord is a fine selling point
-because it does not jack into ipod headphone jack you don't have to play with the Ipod's volume at all!!!!
-The price is amazingly cheap

Cons:
-unfortunately it is kinda cheap and will probably break after a couple months (speaking from experience)

Well this product only has one con in all actuality. But hey you can get this product for a grand total of about 8 bucks and that includes the shipping. so buy a few at a time so when one breaks you already have another ready to go and save a bit more on shipping. Yes I've bought more then one of these (5 in fact) and last time i bought 3 at a time which worked well. for the price this is the very best you get and I highly recommend it. Just don't be too upset if a month and a half later half the sound in your car stops working because your cord went. You paid 8 bucks for it!

this is perfect for a car because of its retractability. the dock connection seems kinda cheap/hollow but it may turn out to be fine.

The sound is great, I connect it to my aux port on the car stereo. The retracting cord works nice. Well worth it!

I don't know which products this works with but I couldn't get it to work with my iTouch

Beware this is not a small cable. The housing is thicker than my iPod Classic and the whole thing dwarfs my wife's iPod Nano.

This will get the job done, but it's rather flimsy, and the dock connector is HUGE and square.

Go with SiK din for iPod (FireWire/ Line-out Audio Adapter) instead.
