I was mostly motivated by cost mixed with a little bit of necessity when I was shopping for a coax cable to connect my dvd player to my receiver; I would have preferred to use optical just because I find the concept of optical cable cooler than electrical cable, but my receiver was all out of optical ports.

This cable had the lowest total cost I could find; Amazon shipped it out even quicker than I expected. I was pleased with the feel and construction of the cable, it felt solid and definitely worth more than I paid for it. It works with no issues and I'm still happily using it now.

This seems like a pretty good cable for the price. Good shielding, solid connections, works without a hitch. If you're considering, I'd say you can't go wrong!
