There's a lot of "voodoo" associated with cables, cable brands, and their associated claims. I purchased a few of these for my A/V system and I would buy the same cables again today if I needed them. These aren't the heaviest cables I've seen, but they appear to be well made and as good as anything that you can buy at your local big box retailer, at about half the price.

I was really surprised when I got these cables; they are really nice looking... much better than I hoped for. I have them plugged into my DVD player and Sony receiver and they work great. If I saw these in a store, I'd expect them to cost $12 - $15 at least. They are as thick and heavy a cable as any I've used. They seem really well made. I'm really impressed with these cables.
