I bought this cable to interface between a Canon 5DmarkII Digital SLR and an LG TV.It had trouble making a good connection at the DSLR end. I bought another cable elsewhere and it worked fine.

Plugged the cable into my Panasonic GH1 and my Samsung HD TV. The TV did not recognize the camera until I pressed on the camera end of the cable and then it functioned as long as I kept the pressure on. This of course had me worried as was the problem with the cable or the camera? I bought a Panasonic branded cable and it functioned properly which ended my worry, the camera was fine. Returned the faulty cable to Amazon and they promptly credited my credit card.
