5.0 out of 5 stars wiring is fine on mine
I was concerned from reviews that said the wiring was reversed, so I bought one and checked it. It was wired correctly and works great! So I ordered 2 more.

1.0 out of 5 stars DEFECTIVE! MISWIRED! SAFETY HAZARD!
I bought four Y adapters from this seller, two of this ASIN (B000234UFG) and two of ASIN B000FPQO9Q. The four adapters are identical in appearance and have the same defect (described below), so the seller in my case definitely used a common make & model to fulfill orders for both ASIN's.

1.0 out of 5 stars DEFECTIVE! MISWIRED! SAFETY HAZARD!, May 25, 2007

I bought four Y adapters from this seller, two of this ASIN (B000234UFG) and two of ASIN B000FPQO9Q. The four adapters are identical in appearance and have the same defect (described below), so the seller in my case definitely used a common make & model to fulfill orders for both ASIN's.

All four Y adapters are consistently miswired: Each connects the plug's HOT blade to the receptacles' NEUTRAL slots and the plug's NEUTRAL blade to the receptacles' HOT slot. This presents a genuine, 2nd-order safety hazard.

I discovered the defect on the first of the four adapters the hard way: by getting shocked! For the other three, I used a test meter to confirm that they were likewise miswired.

1.0 out of 5 stars VERY BAD: neutral and hot sides are reversed!, December 5, 2007
This review is from: Cables Unlimited PWR-PSLIB-2 Outlet Xtender Power Cord Splitter (Personal Computers)
Be careful: This product has the 'neutral' and the 'hot' sides
reversed. Meaning, the receptacle is NOT following the spec
of a normal wiring. This could be very dangerous depending on
what you use this with.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Simple Invention That Is Quite Useful, August 26, 2008

Simple but quite useful product.

I have a UPS and a few powerstrips in the house. They are great by providing more outlets. But with all the power adapters that runs most of the gadgets today, even one of those power adapters can cover 2 to 3 outlets which defeats the purpose of having a powerstrip. The liberator solves that problem.

Also, some power adapters can be huge and heavy that its weight alone tends to loosen it from the wall, the liberator serves as a little extension to prevent it from loosening up. Loose connections are dangerous, it can produce sparks that not only can ruin your equipments but can even starts a fire. Countertop receptacles can also be problematic where they are awkwardly situated sideways.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wiring Is fine, January 23, 2012
This review is from: Cables Unlimited PWR-PSLIB-2 Outlet Xtender Power Cord Splitter (Personal Computers)
I've checked the wiring when I received it with an ohmmeter, and the terminals are correctly wired on the one I ordered. It works fine for powering up 2 units to one plug as long as you don't exceed the amperage rating of the single plug.

I've bought splitter cables of this type before but pay more for them. This product seems to be well made: even insulation, proper plug type, not too stiff, not too flimsy, and both male plug and female plugs fit snugly. I'm using these plugs to split power controlled sockets on my UPS so that I can switch more low power devices.

5.0 out of 5 stars Power, March 19, 2007
This review is from: Cables Unlimited PWR-PSLIB-2 Outlet Xtender Power Cord Splitter (Personal Computers)
What can I say? It doesn't make coffee, but it isn't designed to. It is a power cord, and it passes power, so I give it a 100%.

This review is from: Cables Unlimited PWR-PSLIB-2 Outlet Xtender Power Cord Splitter (Personal Computers)
This is a very practical way to use the "lost" spot on outlets by the transformers that will use at least 2 spaces with this you can even add 2 in one contruction is good and again is practical.
