Exactly what I was looking for.,

This review is from: Cables Unlimited SuperFlat 50ft 14Awg Speaker Wire (AUD-5410-50) (Electronics)
I've spent weeks looking at the walls in my apartment and said to myself that I wasn't going to staple, nailed or stick any tapes over the wires once I get my 7.1 Home Theater receiver and Surround Speakers routed. So I ordered two sets of these (50FTx2) super-flat wires ahead of time. They were exactly what I wanted, not only they are flat, yet they are thick enough as well. The wires are actually strapped within a strong adhesive tape. All you have to do is run them along the edges of the walls (or underneath a carpeted area) and at the same time peeling them to adhere to wherever and whatever that you wanted; connect and screw the flat ends to the included 'terminators', then run about 3-4 inches of regular speaker wires from the outer end of the terminators to your satellite speakers and you're done! I used up about 80 feet worth and my Home Theater was in business the very same evening! They are crisp, LOUD, and sounded excellent without a hint of dropout!
Tips: Attach and screw the flat ends tightly to the 'terminators' (one for each speaker) and connect 3"-4" of regular speaker wires out from the other end of the terminator, then connect them your speakers. You'll have to connect another 'terminator' on the other end and you'll need much longer speaker wires for connecting to your receiver. You can purchase some 'spade-end' wire if you don't want to use the 'blocky-shaped' terminators, it'll probably give a cleaner look. Pros: *Flat but thick! *Copper *Strong Adhesive *Very clean compared to regular wires where you'd have to hold it down with tape or nail *Strong, clean sound. Cons: *The white tapes are 'glossy', didn't match up well with my 'egg-shell' colored walls, but still worked out better than expected. It can also be painted over to match. *Very hard to make 'extensions', you can't really solder them and the signals won't transfer easily because of the sticky adhesives, but I've managed to do so when I extended my RIGHT Surround another 5 feet. *Once they are in, they don't come out easily w/o getting some chunks of paint sticking to the tapes, which in turn makes them almost impossible for reuse. *Package didn't state that two terminators are included which prompted me to purchase a set of 6 separately (not cheap) and now I have leftovers.

I'd used Monster Cable's flat cabling to wire up my side surround speakers in my home theater setup, but decided to try a cheaper solution for my rear surrounds. Searching around on Amazon turned up this speaker "wire" that looked good and was priced right.
Once I received it, however, I was disappointed. Unlike Monster Cable's flat wiring (which is stranded copper wire), this is basically two flattened-out slabs of copper. I'll bet it'd transmit an audio signal really well, but it makes wire termination with banana plug or pins almost impossible--let alone what I usually do, which is use the bare wire. It does include some kind of strange plastic terminator thing you're supposed to put onto each end of the wire, but there was no enclosed manual on how to do so, and Cables Unlimited's website wasn't much more help. This might work for some people or some uses, but not mine.

Sticks well, thick enough to carry 110V (I wouldn't recommend it though..) 50ft went fast. Just soldered the speaker wires for termination and cut the flatware to a sharp edge on the speaker side so that I could clamp it to the speaker clips/contacts.
Only problem that I found was that its a bit glossy. Also decide on how you are going to fold the wire before actually doing it!

The wire is very thin & flexibile. the biggest challenge was running it behind the walls and places where I had to make slight bends in the path. Otherwise I was very pleased with this product.

I expected the wire to be have a flat finish but it has a satin finish. It does't appear that it will take paint directly to the surface Joint compound does not stick to it very well.
