5.0 out of 5 stars The way to go if you need more than one cable
I've been using one of these - got the one-wire deal - with an HD monitor and I'm as happy as one can be with a well-built digital cable. The 3-pack should provide the same quality and service. Just to clear any doubt, this cable works as well as any other 6 ft. HDMI wire (probably because they are all made in the same factory overseas), including the premium ones and...

3.0 out of 5 stars inexpensive, and they do the job
HDMI cables carry digital data, my friends, so they either work, or they don't. These work. So do the $100 ones they sell at a local electronics store, but you're paying 30x too much for them.
UPDATE: I have replaced this cable with another, and it solved a problem I was having. To expand upon what I previously said: digital data does not get static or go black and...

5.0 out of 5 stars The way to go if you need more than one cable, February 10, 2010
This review is from: Cables Unlimited Ultrafast 10.2Gbps HDMI Cables (3 Pack) (Electronics)
I've been using one of these - got the one-wire deal - with an HD monitor and I'm as happy as one can be with a well-built digital cable. The 3-pack should provide the same quality and service. Just to clear any doubt, this cable works as well as any other 6 ft. HDMI wire (probably because they are all made in the same factory overseas), including the premium ones and it's probably not better than those that sell at Amazon for one penny (plus S&H, coming down to just about the same price). Also, it's no worse than the so-called 'premium' brands that rarely offer much more than a brand name and maybe a pretty-looking connector in addition to what the cheap cables do.

In fairness, the 'ULTRAFAST' designation means NOTHING other than a nice marketing word so don't buy this cable because it's supposed to be 'ultrafast' because it isn't any faster than any other cable. If you look at the HDMI 1.3 specs I posted at the bottom of this review, the 10.2Gbps follows the EXACT HDMI specs all cables are EXPECTED to support:

- Maximum TMDS bandwidth (Gbit/s) 10.2

When it comes to decide which brand to order I always go with the 'cheap' ones because, to the extent that they comply with the HDMI specs, you don't get better service from the more expensive brands. And the ironic thing is that the more expensive and sophisticated the hardware that the HDMI cable connects, the less you are going to need a so-called 'high quality' cable because the more advanced receivers have the ability to correctly interpret the weak or ambiguous signals that the cheaper or less advanced hardware may have trouble with. In any case, the HDMI consortium is confident that at this short length most HDMI cables will perform well.

Since these cables are sold by Amazon, anyone who may be concerned about possible issues should keep in mind that they can take advantage of Amazon's easy return policy. If you are returning the item because it came defective or damaged Amazon pays for shipping it back and offers a full refund or a replacement. You can also return anything for any reason for as long as the item was not damaged and you pay for shipping it back.

I would definitely go with the 3-pack if I needed more than one cable.

I don't have much to say about these cables. The only reason I am writing this review is because the cable length is not listed. These cables are 2 meters long, or approximately 6 ft. I hope this helps someone.

HDMI cables carry digital data, my friends, so they either work, or they don't. These work. So do the $100 ones they sell at a local electronics store, but you're paying 30x too much for them.
UPDATE: I have replaced this cable with another, and it solved a problem I was having. To expand upon what I previously said: digital data does not get static or go black and white when the cable carrying it is insufficient: it just drops out. Goes away. And I was having just that issue with my Blu-Ray player: whenever I'd start a movie by disc, or via Netflix over the internet, the first minute or so would have the sound dropping out and back in several times. I thought it was my player, but I happened to have a different HDMI cable at my house one day Mediabridge Ultra Series - High Speed HDMI Cable - 6ft - Supports 3D & Audio Return Channel so I swapped it in... and my audio problem went away. So I *now* say that hyper-expensive HDMI cables are still a joke, but you have to get a *good enough* cable to do the job. and it may be that my DVD player or TV are weak and I'm pushing output resolution to the max, and on most other systems these cables may work fine, but I don't know for sure. They seem well-constructed, nice and thick. But still, I had an issue. I'm lowering my review to 3 stars accordingly.

If you need several HDMI cables, or wish to have a spare, this is a very good deal. I got it as a lightning deal, making it an unquestionable bargain. But even at its regular price, it compares well to the competition. The minimalist packaging is a plus for me too.

There are some who think that with digital, it either works or it doesn't so quality does not matter. That's not true. There's no such thing as digital data except in theory. Digital and analog data are both nothing more than ways of getting electrons to travel through wires. With digital, it's used in a way that's analogous to zeros and ones, but you could never squeeze a zero or a one through a wire. Electrons are going to make it through a wire just as effectively whether they are carrying analog or digital data, but with digital data your equipment is able to make up for bad packets with appropriate software algorithms. But a faulty connector on one wire could mess up your signal. Leakage and cross talk as well as outside interference can all affect how well the electrons coming out represent the ones that went in. It's good to have well made cables to begin with.

I'm not convinced that a $500 cable will have more intrinsic merit than one of these, but I would recommend one of these over budget cables that may lack proper shielding or lack proper termination. I'll leave it up to others to expound on the merits of anything better.

If you've ever seen digital broadcasts or media from digital sources, you know that there are occasional artifacts such as spurious blocky looking patches on the screen, pictures that freeze momentarily or seem to fade into others while wiping away a frozen image. It's easy to dispel the myth that digital either works or it doesn't. Sometimes, the fix for these problems is to swap out a faulty cable. This three pack might even leave you with a spare and still be worth the price.

the cables look like heavy duty -- too heavy you might say. I can't plug them into my tv on the side. The insulation or rubber on the cables are too thick. But they do work for the one HDMI on the back of the TV.

I am very happy with this purchase. I got it as one of the hourly deals under "Today's Deals", so I'm extremely pleased with the price. Not much I can write about cables except that they work perfectly and the price is right!

I got these cables on Amazon's GoldBox and feel I got a great deal. Please see the pictures if you would like to know what it looks liked shipped and opened. It is rare when a manufacture's photos look exactly like what is shipped, but this is just that case.

I have these cables installed in my two tv's and Blu-Ray players, so far everything working out nicely.

Best all the price is much better than you find at Best Buy or other retailers.

I received product and one of the three cables did not work properly, it made the picture red. The other 2 worked fine and had I not had a problem with the one, I would have been satisfied. The price is great and the product is good when it works.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality HDMI Cables - Highly Recommended!, February 3, 2010

This review is from: Cables Unlimited Ultrafast 10.2Gbps HDMI Cables (3 Pack) (Electronics)
This 3-pack of Cables Unlimited HDMI Cables are a great value (I picked them up in a "Lightning Deal", so it was even better). The cables are well made and have good quality connectors that should last a long time. The cables are 6', a good length for my entertainment rack, and worked perfectly out of the box.

I also like the minimal packaging that these come in, just cables in box. Perfect!

Highly Recommended!
