It's the original headset and it works
I bought one of these headsets for my husband. It's an original Microsoft, and it works OK. You can hear and be heard without problems on XBOX live, and can use it on the left or right side. It's been a month and it's been working with no problems until now. Hopefully it will last the same the last one did. (2 years approx.) I would recommend this product.

You're getting exactly what you're paying for.
The speaker ceased to function after a day and the jack cannot be used in conjunction with the Xbox 360 Messenger Kit because the volume controls are located right below the jack with pegs that fit into the bottom of the attachment-less controller. Had I not been strapped for cash and desperate for a quick replacement at the time of purchase, I'd have spent...

Had I not been strapped for cash and desperate for a quick replacement at the time of purchase, I'd have spent the money on something a bit more expensive. I didn't like how I was being charged 12 dollars for shipping and handling, especially when it was not express shipping; I just figured more expensive headsets included most of the S&H in the product itself. Apparently, this was being shipped straight from China because the packaging had a horrendously poor English description. This is garbage and should not ever be sold. Avoid like the plague.

works good but can only use on one ear the mic does not flip over so you can use it on other ear. Other than that I love it
