I've used Lush's Caca Rouge henna a couple of times so far, and I love it. The color and texture of my hair are amazing! If you're looking for a natural-looking, soft and shiny, gorgeous red/auburn color, I highly recommend this product!!

I love Lush's products. Caca Rouge Mama made my hair soft and shiny. I wouldn't use this product again because of the mess. It's just not worth the hassle.
I put the henna brick in a plastic bag and smashed it into a fine powder. I mixed it with hot water and applied to my hair. It got EVERY WHERE. It was on me, the mirror, and the carpet. Luckily,my rug has a border the same color as the henna. No one will ever notice the stains. Once I was able to get the henna in my hair, I could only keep it in for two hours before a green liquid came oozing out of my hair. (That's after I wrapped my head in plastic.)I looked like an extra from a freaking Troll movie. I marched off to the bathroom to rinse it all out in the shower. That was the longest shower of my life. I had a head full of seeds. I realized that if I detangled my hair with a Tangle Tweezer while conditioner was still in my hair I could remove the seeds quite easily.

Colors the grey, sort of,

Like all natural henna color products, this one takes some work and time, even more so than plain henna powder and the result is not any better. Plus, it is full of fat and leaves your hair greasy so you have extra work to shampoo it out! It covered my grey hairs somewhat but the color didn't last for more than a couple of weeks. With good quality henna powder the color is more or less permanent. This product has a pleasant smell and the price is right.

I love this product. It works better than any hair color and it does not ruin my hair. I use the Caca Rougue. The color is the deepest red when left on for 7 to 8 hours. I have gone 2 months between applications with very little fading. I needed to reapply because of new growth only. I recommend this product to anyone who wants a red that stays in their hair. It is worth the extra time it takes to prepare and use.

I've been using Lush's Henna bars for years now, and by far they provide THE most natural hair color of anything out there. Additionally this stuff is actually really good for your hair! I mix the Caca Rouge with Caca Noir for a dark brown with red highlights--gorgeous! I am about 90% grey without coloring my hair, and this does cover grey very well also. Doesn't really fade, only have to redo when it grows out.

Not what I wanted,

I was looking for a natural way to make my hair a deep red color and upon research I found a lot of people raving about this specific henna. However my results were inconclusive, barely even a recognisable red tinge in my hair after applying this product in my hair, and i did it it two way, the first i had it mixed and waiting for a day then applied it and kept it in my hair for over 8 hours. the next time I did it after about a month I finished the remainder of the henna bar, i just followed the instructions, and the same results.
