This a great album, but not Milton Nascimento in his best. If you are already a Milton's fan, you'll like some songs here. But if you're just wonder about one of the best modern brazilian composers, go straight to his masterpieces Courage, Clube da Esquina (I and II), Minas and Sentinela. A good point to start is Courage.

Milton Nasciment is, for me, one of the best singer in the world. His musics are works of art. The lirics describe our country and our suffering and history in a way that is disturbing, poetic, sad, beautiful all at the same time. I like everything that Milton has done. He plays with his voice as he pleases giving an even stronger meaning to the lirics. He puts in the songs sounds that are familiar to us, brasilians.
