2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
We are disappointed in this game. Like most games, it is ideal to try them before you buy and that certainly would have been wise in this case. If you have a good grasp of the Bible this game may bore you to sleep. Not only are the Bible questions basic, but the game itself is a bore. I would not recommend buying it unless you want to donate it to your church youth...

This Bible Trivia Game is good for families. The concept and layout of the game are quite simple, and the questions range from very easy to rather challenging. My minor complaints about the game are twofold. First, the difficulty of the questions is fairly uneven, so that one player might be hit with a card full of simple questions, while the other might be hit with very difficult questions. Second, each of the answers is followed by a brief comment. Some of these are usefully informative, but many feel indoctrinating.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun but no pizazz, December 1, 2008

Our family plays this game a few times a year, we would play it more except there is no challenges or surprises or humor. You answer the question, you move your piece forward, first one there wins.

I have an 8 year old and a 15 year old, who get bored with that pretty fast. There should be bonus rounds, or gross or silly questions that the kids would like, or lightning rounds where the person, who can name the most apostles, commandments, tribes etc, gets to skip a level or knock everyone else back a space. Games with some risk like Trouble, Hi Ho Cherry-O, and chutes and Ladders are always in demand at our house, I wish this Bible Trivia game had some excitement to it.

The questions are uneven, and we joke that God has predestined my husband to win every time. He has the most Bible knowledge, yet everyone else gets questions like "Which king of Israel destroyed the house of Jeroboam," while my husband gets, "Who was Adams wife?"

There are two sets of cards with two levels of difficulty, which is good, and we have changed the game so that the person reading the card can pick which question to ask, based on the knowledge level of the person, and that helps.

All in all it is a good game to have around the house, as my husband and I sometimes quiz each other using just the cards (and not the board) for the fun of it.

Oh, one more thing, we have the Cadaco Bible Trivia, but our cards do not comment on the answers like another reviewer mentioned. Our cards just have the answer and the Bible reference such as in the above question, "Which king of Israel destroyed the house of Jeroboam," the answer merely says, "Baasja (1 Kings 15)" Our game is dated 1984.

We were able to use this game for Bible Jeopardy at Hallelujah Night. The questions range from fairly easy to very difficult, but not impossible. Enjoyed by all, both during Jeopardy and by our family. Great game!

I was looking for a game that would challenge my little ones to learn more about the Bible. To go a little deeper and find out more. But the children's questions are nearly all answerable by my five year old yet the adult questions are much further beyond her reasoning level. There's no in between. Plus there are only six cards with five questions front and back for a total of sixty questions for children. Considering I've got three children playing, we go through all of those questions in one game.
The adult questions vary but are either no brainers or obscure quotations to fill in the blank. I was hoping for a game that compared to the Bible Trivia I had growing up but this is not it.
However, we have had fun playing it together as a family. The kids like to play games and aren't yet old enough to care if the questions are 'too easy' :-)

3.0 out of 5 stars Apparently, this no longer a Cadaco company board game..., February 23, 2011

This is just an FYI for people thinking of purchasing the Cadaco Bible Trivia board game. This is not so much a review of a very good instructional religious board game, but an update on who actually manufactures this game now. I found this information out because instructions for our Cadaco Bible Trivia game were somehow lost by our family. However, the real problem in replacing them, was not that this game isn't manufactured and/or sold currently anymore, (as it actually is on Amazon and through other vendors), but that the Cadaco company no longer exists. In my search to find replacement instructions for our game, I could not locate any Internet website info for a Cadaco company homepage. I ended up calling an old web-published phone number listed for Cadaco when it existed in Chicago. That old phone number is now assigned to a lighting company, but they kindly referred me to this phone number phone number - (800) 621-5426 - for further into on Cadaco, (apparently because get frequent calls to the old Cadaco number). Calling this new number, I found it was answered by the a Slinky company representative. When I asked, she explained that Cadaco company had, in 2010, sold the rights/this product to the Slinky company, and that Slinky now owns this product outright. According to this spokesman, the the old Cadaco company no longer exists. Slinky's Internet homepage is: <www.Poof-Slinky.com>. (Or call the previously mentioned phone number for product support..)

This was an excellent christian board game. It was very educational in the sense of knowing the Bible. Everyone that plays this game will have fun and at the same time challenged.

Our family is having fun with this Bible game. Interesting and fun questions, good for all ages. Our 4-year-old is catching on to some of the questions too. Good for Sunday School or other church get-togethers, or just for home. I highly recommend it!

This boardgame is fun and entertaining but not long enough. The game could have a bigger board.
