Imagine taking the smoothest, creamiest milk chocolate, melting it, and pouring a very thin ribbon of it - so thin that it sets immediately on contact with the previously poured ribbon. This is a Cadbury's Flake - layer on layer of extremely thin ribbons of chocolate. When you bite into it, it crumbles into tiny flakes of chocolate on your tongue, then melts into the creamy texture that Cadbury's is famous for. British chocolate does not contain any wax, so it melts at a far lower temperature than American chocolate. This makes it taste much creamier - similar to a very high quality Belgian chocolate. Flake bars are incredible and one of my most-missed candies since I moved to the USA (I'm English). My favourite way of eating them is to crush the flake up while it is still in the packet, then to open the packet and eat the flakes by dipping my finger into them! In England, ice-cream vendors sell something called a '99', which is an ice-cream cone with two Flake halves stuck in the top of it. Flakes are not only good served with ice-cream, but are also used to decorate frosted cakes and gateaux (cut or break them up into 1" pieces for this). You have to try this product - I don't think it's an 'aquired taste' at all, and every single one of my American friends who have tried one have loved them. I can guarantee that you will too. A similar product is the 'Aero' candy bar - this is choclate that has had air bubbled through it before it sets - creating a very light texture of chocolate filled with tiny bubble holes. Aero bars come in other flavours, such as orange chocolate and mint chocolate as well as plain milk chocolate.

Looks like the guy who is complaining about getting the wrong Flakes ordered from the wrong seller. I purchased this product from TheIndianFoodStore and it is the original Flakes from England. There is no Arabic writing, multi-region export pack, etc. This is the original bar, made in England, imported from England. I suggest that person try this seller.

These flake bars have clearly traveled the world and are a little worse for wear. They're more than a little beat up and broken and the chocolate has a whitish tint that indicates that it's been through multiple transitions in temperature. Most of the writing on the bars seems to be in Arabic but I'm not 100% certain what language it is.

With the foggy country-of-origin and Cadbury's recent recall of melamine tainted chocolate from world markets, I'm afraid that the rest of these flakes are destined for the dustbin.

I bought this product hoping to get the Flake that is made in England, apparently after I got it I find out that the box is identical to the one we have in our country which is the one made in Ireland, and believe me it's not the as good. it's made for export to multi regions that's why it has multi languages and a big Flake title in Arabic on the box.
I paid $26 plus $30 shipping for an item that I could've got from a near store for less than $10

Arrived well ahead of the scheduled delivery time. Thanks for that. Myself, my daughter, my daughter's friend, my husband had them. My sons bless them did not get a look in. Sorry boys, Mum likes her chocolate.

This is the second time we have ordered these chocolate bars. They arrived as promised and were fresh. They are my wife's favorite candy.

These are one of the oldest chocolates available and although their internal and external design hasn't changed much over the years they are still one of my favourites.

Although it looks very plain and simple and it breaks all over your lap when you take a few bites, it still remains one of the tastiest chocolates available today.

The chocolate melts in your mouth (and all over your fingers!) and it has a delightful texture. There is no dryness or sickness evident and one is never enough. My wife uses them for baking and she has done numerous 'Flake Cakes' over the years which always turns out to be delightful.

Although we bought these for our young nephews, who also likes them, I occasionally indulge on one (or two) during a weak moment and buying them in this amount is always a good option.

(Please note that this is a product review and does not include a review of the price as it can fluctuates on Amazon).

Verdict: 9/10

As an ex-pat Brit living in the US for over 24 years, some things I've missed; football (soccer) on a Saturday (GO ARSENAL!!!) and CADBURYS FLAKE!! This is the PUREST form of chocolate candy made, and after the very first crumbly bite, I instantly recalled the sheer pleasure I used to have eating these! RICH, flavorful; sheer heaven to eat. After one bar, it is VERY difficult to stop at just the one bar!!! ONE piece of advice: put the opened box of these in the refrigerator, and then take one (or more) bars to eat as needed; they last longer, especially given the much warmer temperatures in the USA compared to the UK, it makes them even more crumblier, and for some reason taste even better!

They arrived in perfect condition, not a single broken bar, and, just as when I was back home, they have me hooked! I'm going to be a repeat customer for this product!!!!!!!!

DELICIOUS!
