This review is from: The Caddisfly Handbook: An Orvis Streamside Guide (Hardcover)
This book is an invaluable resource for the serious angler and tyer. The photographs are extememly high quality and are very large to see the most minute details for the caddis flies. The book is also small enough in size to easily take along on the stream. An excellent resource and highly recommended.

If your a fly tier or just a fly fisherman, this book is worth the every penny. Very informative, well organized and Pictures to boot. I don't care for orvis that much, seeing they just take other products and mark them way up compared to other sellers, But none the less i love this book and highly recommend it to all.

Everybody knows Gary LaFontaine is the guru of caddisflies (great book). However, I love this book as well. Maybe more. Its small size is user-friendly and has great color photos of the caddisflies, pupa, and larva on every page. It teaches you how to pick up a rock and identify what caddis will be coming off soon. I often read the two books together as they compliment each other very well.
