More About the Author

Liliana Hart is a New York Times, USA Today, and Publisher's Weekly Bestselling Author of more than 40 titles. After starting her first novel her freshman year of college, she immediately became addicted to writing and knew she'd found what she was meant to do with her life. She has no idea why she majored in music.

Since self-publishing in June of 2011, Liliana has sold more than 3 million ebooks and been translated into eight languages. She's appeared at #1 on lists all over the world and all three of her series have appeared on the New York Times list. Liliana is a sought after speaker and she's given keynote speeches and self-publishing workshops to standing-room-only crowds from California to New York to London.

Liliana can almost always be found at her computer writing or on the road giving workshops for SilverHart International, a company she founded with her partner, Scott Silverii, where they provide law enforcement, military, and fire resources for writers so they can write it right. Liliana is a recent transplant to Southern Louisiana, where she's getting used to the humidity and hurricane season, and plotting murders (for her books, of course).

1.) I have a Coke first thing every morning instead of coffee.

2.) I try to read at least one book a day (when I'm not on deadline), sometimes two or three if I have the itch. Reading is one of my greatest pleasures.

3.) I decided to be a writer my freshman year of college. Which, of course, is why I majored in music and art history.

4.) I started writing my first book when I was eighteen. It was about a 30-year-old virgin assassin. Yes, you read that right. It's buried in the far corner of my closet.

5.) I didn't complete my first book until I was twenty-five, but 40 titles since then. I'm 35.

6.) I love being a writer. It gives me an excuse to think about different ways to kill people and to take weird vacations for the tax deductions.

7.) I could eat macaroni and cheese every day. I love it! But my hips do not.

8.) I'm very slow to make new friends. I'm a pretty solitary person, so when you see me at booksignings and conventions, I'm completely out of my comfort zone, which is why it's so nice when I have readers come up and talk to me like they already know me. It puts me at ease.

9.) My favorite cities to visit are: New Orleans--Galway, Ireland--Sonoma--Knoxville

10.) I like Milk Duds more than I probably should. I'm sure one day it'll catch up to me.

11.) I love to travel. I'm perfectly content to wake up on a random morning and say, I'm going here today." And then I'll buy a plane ticket and pack a suitcase. There are still so many places I'd love to see.

12.) I spent a summer in Ireland when I was in college with a random family I'd never met or spoken to before. It was one of the bravest and most adventurous things I've done. A great experience.

13.) I hated high school. If I could go back and do it over I'd try to graduate early and get the heck out of there.

14.) I have a weakness for fast cars.

15.) I performed at Carnegie Hall when I was in college and toured Europe with a percussion ensemble one summer.

16.) I spent four years in college majoring in Percussion. It is now completely useless since I'm writing books full time, but it does give me an advantage when playing Rock Band.

17.) I like gaming. When I take vacations between books, a good part of the time goes to playing RPGs.

18.) The cleanest place I've ever been is Switzerland.

19.) I don't gamble. When I go to Vegas I spend my time at concerts and shows.

20.) Purple is my favorite color. Go Frogs! (TCU alum)

21.) I love a good mystery.

22.) I've had impacted wisdom teeth for years, but I have no desire to get them taken out.

23.) My husband and I are terrible skiers. We know this from experience.

24.) I like to sit down in the shower. I'll often stick my Kindle in a plastic bag and read in there for an hour.

25.) I spend a lot of time thinking of ways to kill people, and I have a tendency to zone out in the middle of a conversation if it's a really good idea.

I've said it before, I'll say it again - people on Amazon are way too generous with their 5 stars! This should be labeled erotica, not romance. These two don't have much going for their relationship except for BDSM bedroom exploits. They have exactly one meaningful conversation. Skipped the bedroom scenes, way too explicit. Vulgar, not romantic. Not my thing. Oh, and I found it a little rapey - how many times must the h say no for the H to listen? She repeatedly told him no, but he just went right ahead with that I-know-you-want-it-attitude. I didn't appreciate the author going that route. No means stop, not she may be saying no but she secretly wants it so keep going. Unacceptable, really

I got this one for its cover and because it was only .99. I had not read this author before and there were only 5 star "loved it" reviews. It wasn't until I started reading it that I realized it was an erotica that included anal sex and people falling in "love" in mere weeks. There is no romance or sex that isn't "high speed". I like sincere relationships built over time. If you don't care, this book is more for you than for me.

Characters: Cade MacKenzie and Bayleigh Scott are neighbors that are HIGHLY attracted to each other and wary of love. Cade's first love was raped and killed in front of him and Bayliegh has been too criticized by previous lovers and left at the altar. Cade is controlling, emotionally unavailable and wants a physical relationship with Bayleigh. Bayleigh does not want to disappoint Cade sexually and doesn't want to lose her heart knowing he will just walk away.

Writing Style: Good style that keeps you reading, it's just that this has back door sex and lust called love. These two fall in love in two weeks after a lot of sex. In fact, that is really all this book is really - sex, sex and more sex.

Plot: Cade was discovered by the cartel as a DEA agent and his lover was raped and killed. Two years later, he is trying to draw them out to finish off the leader and stop the sail of "Rabbit" a sex drug that kills young girls after making them nymphomaniacs.

Romance: There is no romance, just a bunch of raw and back door sex.

Sex and Violence Rating: X - Physically Aggressive, Bondage, Anal Sex

2 Stars - Not Worth Recommending, Took off Kindle. Will not read sequels

Ridiculous story line. Poorly drawn main characters. Simply a poorly done example of erotic fiction.

First the story line. I am willing to give some leeway to authors to allow for a suspenseful story. But this was all bad. None of it made any sense. **spoiler** What kind of DEA undercover sleeps with bad guy's daughter and then feels comfortable enough to talk about being undercover. So dumb.

The move to lure out the bad guy is just overly stupid. Male lead is so worried about fall out to the neighbors from the bad guy, especially if he had a girlfriend who could really be in danger, yet unable to control baser instincts for even 24 hours? Seriously? If he shows an interest in her she might become a target. He even has internal dialogue about the danger. Even more unbelievable she is the sister of a friend. Now just not an innocent neighbor, but someone even more important who should not be placed in danger. But can't control himself. Nope. Can't be done.

Did not really understand the whole working with the locals but not really plot point. Did not make sense.

Really hate when female lead is aware of the danger but not really serious about it. So upset with male lead that she runs to hotel? Odd. Just a way to get to the end game with the bad guy.

Their "relationship" was as thin as paper. It was really lame. The language between them was often stilted and odd. It just did not ring true. I eyerolled my way through the whole book.

There are much better erotica/suspense series out there, with suspensful plots, sexual tension, complex characters with much, much better writing.

I cannot imagine how this book got so many good reviews. I am stunned. They must be friends of the author.

Avoid this book.

First just let me say I discovered this author by accident while I was searching for "Freebies" and stumbled on her Christmas book All I Want For Christmas and was Instantly hooked. I absolutely loved Cade. One of the first times I heard about him was in his cousins book Cooper and I wanted to know more about this Straight Shooter, Take No Prisoners Guy, so I snapped up every Mackenzie Family book I could find. If you buy this book you will not be disappointed. I couldn't put it down, that's how great it is. I cannot wait for future books about his equally gorgeous brothers and their sister.

Liliana Hart knows how to write those yummy alpha male heroes I love. If you like Lora Leigh with strong Alpha Males and good story lines then you will like Cade.

Cade starts of intense with his lover getting murdered right in front of him by her own father. Cade was undercover with the Drug Cartel and fell in love with the Big Guys daughter and daddy found out. Cade was rescued but his family did not make it in time to save her. Now he is going under cover with the DEA or cops to make himself bait and bring the Drug Cartel to him so he can get his revenge for her death.

Cade is a brooding, sexy as sin uber Alpha male hero. He has been dead inside ever since that awful day he lost his lover. Because of this night, Cade has never been in a serious relationship and will only take a lover when he gets an itch. He is afraid he will bring danger to them. Until he meets his mouthy neighbor, Bayleigh for the first time and she gets under his skin in a sexual way. He starts showing interest in Bayleigh and realizes he can not stay away. He knows now he has to have her, but if he has her then the Drug Cartel will know she is his weakness and they will kill her and not him. Because he can not stay away from her, he decides to keep her safe is for her to stay with him.

The sexual chemistry with Cade and Bayleigh was scorching. I loved how they did not sleep together right away. Cade is a sexy arrogant hero.

"I'm looking forward to kissing you again, Bayleigh Scott," he said, heading back to his motorcycle. "Though I have a feeling we'll both be naked and heating up the sheets when the next time comes. And I'll make sure to bring the handcuffs."

Cade is a wicked lover who loves to talk dirty.
