4.0 out of 5 stars Hot PT Soundtrack October 10, 2005
Format:Audio CD
Running is not for everyone. Many try but end up jogging (not the same thing). Others start too fast, lose breath, walk to regain it, and repeat. Two secrets to good runs:

1)Rhythm. The sound of running feet hitting the deck in unison sounds like a heart beating. The biological power of this sound will draw you in instantly, which is nice. More importantly, it will let you know when to stomp on each foot. Steady rhythm is key to efficient running.

2)BIG strides. Initially you will focus your energy on kicking out your feet fast enough to keep pace with the cadence. In time it will become natural and you can focus on taking wider strides. Short, choppy steps waste energy and waste time. If you're out there shuffling, you might as well run. The lyrics will motivate you to kick out your toes farther each time, until you get comfortable with a nice wide stride. Reminders to "dress it up" will remind you to not slump and to hold your chest out, which makes it easier to breath.

Efficient, competent running takes practice. This soundtrack can provide the psychological "chew out" you need to get your lazy butt out and running more often. It's also good for a few laughs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Run to Cadence with U.S. Marines February 27, 2004
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
I ordered this C.D. and it is excellent. I am a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. Contrary to popular belief we do P.T. Our P.T. has not been so great here lately and we needed motivation.
I listened to the Run with Marines C.D. and ate it up. This gave me a plan to Run my guys with Cadence. I called some of the cadence from this C.D. and we improved out P.T. dramatically. I recommend this C.D. for anyone.
Next time you feel yourself getting down and out on your run, formation runs, Ruck runs, ect. Purchase this C.D. It will motivate you.
Ooohhh Rahhhh

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent motivator April 19, 2005
Format:Audio CD
This is an excellent motivator to push yourself to go that extra mile. The DI's keep pushing you, and you feel like you're jogging back in Parris Island. Absolutely recommend this even if you never served with us.

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME! March 29, 2002
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
I really enjoy this CD. I got it as a joke to bother my husband and found that it is probably the one CD that we both can listen too and know the words. The cadences are easy to learn and swear/cuss-free. Not what I was expecting for a tape made with real military men doing real military cadence.
I feel comfortable listening to this CD in the car while the children are listening - have even heard my 5 year old (who claims he will grow up to join the Air Force) chanting along! His favorite is Motivated Left Foot.
Included with each CD is a list of all the military products the company makes incase you can't find something here at [amazon.com].

4.0 out of 5 stars The most enjoyable of the series July 2, 2005
Format:Audio CD
I have three or four of these cadence cassettes. Clearly, running to cadence is not for everyone. But for those who do, you will find that the pace is perfect for a good, steady run. Out of the series, I found that the USMC one was, though repetitive, the most oustanding. There is a good mix of humor, motivation, and good ol' Marine violence. Some of the others, especially the Army ones, are dated back to Vietnam or the Cold War when they talk about commies, UH-1s, etc.

I wish they had a rated R version as well. These are rather tame compared to the reality. Still, its a great inspiration to anyone who was, wants to be, or wishes they were running with the Corps.

Great motivation cadence. Too bad almost all are abbreviated.. good mix and stirs great memories. Could have been so much better if they were not cut off

Good motivational running CD but, I can remember more creative cadence calling.. Understanding the words don't need to as vulgar, lets hear some ole time Marine Corps calling!

Keeps me mo-ti-va-ted! Running to cadence keeps me focused on the task and hand. The other runners wonder what the heck I am yelling out which makes it even more motivating!
