I have had the priviledge to see Caetano Veloso perform in Beacon Theater in NYC this week, and, needless to say, the performance was outstanding. He is a musical and lyrical genius-- from his creation of the Brazilian "Tropicalia" movement of the '60's, to keeping up with the rock n' roll of today. One does not need to understand Portuguese to delve into this Brazilian super-star's musical originality. Truly a must-have!
