This is an instant Chai Latte Mix in a k-cup. It is tasty and has a nice amount of spiciness and creaminess. It may be a little heavy on the sugar and/or cardamon for some, but as a mid-morning, mid-afternoon & evening drink, it is a nice, pleasant drink.

However, before purchasing, you should know what you are drinking. The ingredient list is:

INGREDIENTS: SUGAR, CREAMER (HYDROGENATED COCONUT OIL, GLUCOSE SYRUP, SODIUM CASEINATE (FROM MILK), SODIUM POLYPHOSPHATE, DIPOTASSIUM PHOSPHATE, SODIUM STEAROYL-2-LACTYLATE, SILICON DIOXIDE), NONFAT DRY MILK, INSTANT TEA, NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL FLAVORS, MODIFIED FOOD STARCH, SALT, SUCRALOSE.
CONTAINS: MILK, SOY, TREE NUTS

and:

70 Calories
Total Fat 2.8g / Saturated Fat 2.8g
Sodium 133mg
Total Carbohydrates 9g / Sugars 9g

Overall, I like this k-cup despite the fact that it is a little heavy on sugar. For me, the spiciness is a nice combination, but I like cardamon, cinnamon, ginger & cloves. For those who are pickier or prefer a different combination of spices, there are Chai Latte Mix recipes on popular recipe sites. It you have the inclination, you could probably come up with your own mix t suit your own tastes & dietary requirements.

I consider myself a Chai connoisseur. I have been enjoying a Tazo Chai Latte nearly every day since 2001. I am very picky and really only enjoy a limited selection of Chai brands. My favorite is Tazo, especially when prepared by a Starbucks barista without water. I was hesitant to purchase the Cafe Escapes Chai Latte k-cups in fear of it not meeting my high expectations; however, at first sip, I was hooked. Although it has a slightly different taste than Tazo, it has a sweet aroma, full of spice with the perfect amount of creaminess. I look forward to drinking this Chai Latte in the afternoon as a treat or pick-me-up. It is the perfect comfort item for me.

One of the best K cup varieties around! Every drop is delicious, tastes better than a Tazo Chai from Starbucks and easier on the pocket book!

I am a big fan of chai lattes and the spices in this blend are quite tasty. If you use the recommended 8oz setting, it has a full enough flavor. My biggest complaint is the artificial sweetener. It leaves that horrible chemical aftertaste that diet sodas do. If you don't have a problem with Splenda and you like spiced chai, this is the K-cup for you! If you are like me though, and have an aversion to artificial sweeteners, it looks like we are still stuck with brewing the tea (such as Celestial's India Spice Chai) and adding our own milk and sugar.

I love this chai latte. The only word of caution is that is so addictive. At 70 calories a cup I drink this cautiously. I brew and take the time to sip and really enjoy it or I would be up to many cups a day.

This is my favorite flavor k-cup. I used to pay twice the price purchasing 10-packs at Bed Bath and Beyond. This is significantly cheaper! However, beware of the cup not working correctly in your machine. I shake them vigorously before loading it because when I don't, the water gets stuck in the cup and the coffee doesn't brew correctly. I was wasting every other pack because the machine didn't seem to be working but then I realized it was the cups.

I look forward to this cup of Chai tea every evening. It's PERFECT. I actually like it better than what I previously paid 4 dollars for at THE coffeehouse. It is creamy, sweet, and tasty. I do recommend using a smaller keurig setting with it so it doesn't taste watered-down, but otherwise, it's seriously perfect.

I recently purchased this item from Amazon - then found it CHEAPER somewhere else. Amazon - please review your pricing policy on this product. I would like to sign up for the auto delivery program - but I will NOT until you can beat the cheaper prices. I am an avid Amazonian shopper and was very disappointed about the price difference.

I LOVE this product.

Please give serious consideration to this post.

Thanks,

As another reviewer stated already, this is not labeled 'low calorie' or 'low sugar' so I didn't expect it to contain artificial sweetener. I guess that's my fault for assuming, as this does contain sucralose and has a terrible, artificial sweetener aftertaste. I understand that this taste apparently doesn't bother a lot of people, but I absolutely can't stand it and will be returning this product. I feel that this should be disclosed on the package a bit more prominently than just listed on the ingredients (I bought at Meijer, not at Amazon, where I was able to look at the package before purchasing). I know, I know, I should've checked the ingredients. I wish I would've. I'm only writing this review as a warning to anyone else who may be considering the purchase, but like me, hates that fake sugar flavor (not to mention putting whatever chemicals they use for that stuff into their body).
