It definitely has an Ibiza feel with moments of beach walking and ocean sunsets. There are a lot of good tracks on the cd but there is too much of a new age feel for me on it to give it more than three stars. If you like new age, this is for you. There are some good beats and laid back grooves among the track selections but they are too spaced out for my liking. I like seeing the new artists ive never heard of, a little diversity is a good thing. I recommend this cd, not highly, for those who like laid back chill music, good for late nights and chill afternoons.

If you like the techno soft trance electronic dance (with new age influence) this is your CD. It's not difficult no boaring and not flat.
The artists are quite anonymus (to me) like : Ibizzarre, Genuine, Chakra of Dreams, Natural Trance, Sa Trincha Dance, Tierra Negra, and Chris Zippel, but the music it's agood mix of an after-party.
The negative aspect it's for sure the cover : without fantasy a very anonymus blend of colours (1 star for the cover!!).
I have no informations regarding the rest of the series...but the number two it's OK!

at the time of review this exact release (musically speaking) is available as cafe del sol, vol. 2 the 2001 release (for considerably less) AND as disc 2 of ibiza revisited on water music records (ASIN: B000ROAKJA0), where you also get disc 1 which is cafe del sol, vol. 1. ...sooooo, save some cash, buy the 2 disc ibiza revisted release and get the cute blonde on the cover for free!

Usually CD have 2 to 3 good music or songs, but in this CD almost all songs are very good.

I have bought many electronic music cd's, but this is the best I've ever heard. Every day I play this c.d. and don't get tired of it. All the songs on this album are great. The music isn't repetitive and every song is unique. A+++++++++

for this type of setting, I can think of much better compilations. It's not FAB, but it's not the worst either.
