Product Description
Cafe Femenino Empowerment Blend Whole Bean Coffee comes in a 12 ounce bag. There are currently 464 women coffee farmers involved with the Cafe Femenino Coffee Project. Over the next year, the plan is to strengthen the work with these women through regional and zonal conferences and by promoting activities that give them greater economic opportunities. OPTCO is committing proceeds from its own profits and is searching for additional funding sources to supply the training needed to help these women. The women themselves have committed to working hard to improve the quality of their coffee so the name Cafe Femenino stands not only for women's equality, but for quality coffee that our roasters can depend on.

This coffee is a lighter roast than I'm used to... I'm a French Roast/Espresso Blend kinda girl! I ended up mixing this with a darker roast for that reason....but not for lack of flavor! This coffee is wonderful. I could taste notes of chocolate and cherry.... but not in a flavored coffee way (yuck) Lots of Coffee cream at the top of the cup....yum
I use a porcelain cone pour and a super fine grind.
I recently moved to Pennsylvania from Mill Valley CA... so I am slowly weaning my self from a serious Peets habit.
I like this coffee very much and will reorder it. (though I'll be mixing it with Cafe Altura French)
