Caillou The Builder Dress Me Plush Doll

I bought this Caillou plush doll plus 3 outfits for my 3 year old son. My 1 year old son has a Corolle doll with several outfits and my 3 year old likes to dress and undress the Corolle doll, so I thought I would find him a dressable doll that was different from his brother's. I also bought 3 additional outfits for Caillou. When Caillou and his outfits arrived I was quite disappointed for several reasons. First and foremost, Caillou's shoes don't come off. His additional outfits come with shoes and socks but you have to struggle to place them over the sewn-on shoes on the doll. It's not very realistic to be placing socks and shoes over other shoes anyhow. I called Kimmyshop to see if I was missing something (perhaps I was supposed to cut the seam holding the shoe onto the foot and then there would be a bare foot underneath?) but no one returned my call. Secondly, in comparison to the nice quality Corolle outfits, the Caillou outfits were very synthetic and cheaply made. They are practically see-through. Funny, since the prices are similar between the Caillou products and the Corolle products, but the quality does not compare at all. I decided I would not keep the Caillou doll and outfits for my son, but rather purchase another Corolle product for him.

My son LOVES Caillou, but this doll did not get his attention. It's hat doesn't come off, the shoes don't come off. So I didn't buy any clothes for him & I won't buy any for him. They need to redo him, fix those problems & this may be a good toy. Otherwise I don't recommend it.

My 2 year old grandson has found a new friend in his Caillou doll. Since he's a fan of Caillou, this doll provides him with a constant companion and sort of "security blanket". He carries it on car trips, in his wagon, and it sits with him while he's watching "Caillou" on TV. It's well made and quite durable for a 2 year old.

this is the only Caillou 'doll' (my son says it is a caillou boy not doll) that I could find at a reasonable price and not have it shipped from Canada. My son loves it and totes it all over. I just wish that the shoes and hat would come off, as well.

i bought this as a gift to my son.its very cute and so hard to find anywhere. I cant wait for him to open it on his birthday.

I purchased this Caillou Doll for my 2 year old grandaughter and she absolutely loves, she carries it around the house, when she isplaying. She loves the little tols that are attached to Caillou in the mesh bag. I would recommend this doll for any kid that loves Caillou

I bought this toy from Ty's Toy Box and I received it well on time and it lived up to my expectations. It was also a Christmas present. The other review is negative because of the shipping experience they received from where they bought the doll. I did not buy this toy at Amazon so maybe that's the difference, however the toy itself was absolutely fine. Caillou stuff is always difficult to find in the US, so I can only imagine the other reviewer's disappointment at not getting their doll.

Kimmy's Shop is still awesome. They let me cancel my order and reorder something else. This was just the doll clothes. I ordered the actual doll and some books and they came really fast and in great condition. I love this store and will most definitely do business again.

Hello I would like to give my opinion on this toy but unfortunately it was not delivered on time as promised the time of purchase and that was on the road ... has previously sent an email requesting a refund of the amount charged on my credit card, but unfortunately not yet received any response.

It took almost 2 weeks before I received a message stating that the toy had been shipped, then a week later I received another message stating that it was out of stock and that my money had been refunded. I have read other reviews and realize that I'm not the only person this has happened to. I am disappointed because this was intended to be a Christmas gift and by the time I got the message that it was out of stock Christmas was only a few days away, and I had to join the rush of last minute Christmas shoppers, which I what I had been trying to avoid in the first place.
