One of the Best Ever Cajun Cook Book,
By gojobooks (Louisiana, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Cajun Cooking (Acadiana Profile's Cajun Cooking) (Paperback)
There are many Cajun/Creole cookbooks I like, but two Cajun Cook Books that I have total faith in are Acadian Profile's Cajun Cooking From the kitchens of south Louisiana, and Acadiana Meat and Fish Recipes by Mercedes Vidrine. Both my copies are dog-earred from years of cooking help. If you have a question, it is usually in there from Pickled Eggs (the first recipe) to Nutty Fruit Topping (the last recipe) in Cajun Cooking. Look for Acadian Meat and Fish Recipes for my comments on that one.
In this book, there are 196 pages of Wonderful southern cooking recipes with the Cajun/Creole essense built in. I originally found this book as a two-section issue of Acadiana Profile and was delighted when they put the book together and published it as a spiral bound Cajun Cooking cook book. It even has a section on making homemade baby food. You can't go wrong with this book. It is totally Good Food from the Good Cooks of south Louisiana |
