We used "The Cajun Gingerbread Boy" in my son's kindergarten class in conjunction with many activites, for example, cooking, art and writing projects, based on the story. The children loved the delightful Monseur Crocodile, and loved being able to take the gingerbread boy piece from page to page. This is a great book to use with more traditional renditions of this story.

The story was in good condition, the movable gingerbread man did have a crease on this leg but it worked alright. I ordered several books through Amazon at the same time, this company said they ship out the next day, however they choose the slowest method of shipment. I received the book after the Amazon estimated maximum delivery time.

This is another great addition to a collection of gingerbread stories. Nice regional slant enhances the story.

I'm doing a wonderful unit on the gingerbread boy with my first graders and this was one of the recommended books. I buy many books from Amazon, but my mouth dropped open at the price of this one. It's not available at our public library either. What a shame, especially after reading the other great reviews!
