Like a few other reviewers, I had problems with flour "leakage". This isn't a time saver if, after using, I have a fine dusting of flour over my counter and range that has to be wiped down or if it spills every time I open it after breading a few items.
I prefer to buy small brown paper lunch bags and use those. I buy shallow square foil containers that I put my egg wash or milk in. I load it up with a few pieces of whatever I'll be breading and add my breading ingredients to the paper bag then I can just add a few things at a time to the bag, give it a shake. I use tongs to "fish" the breaded items out of the bag and it's easy to just transfer the breaded items right into the skillet/deep fryer with the tongs and you can use them to turn the food as well so it's not like you're dirtying up extra dishes. When I'm all done, I throw the bag away and rinse out the shallow square container and place in the recycle bin. No wiping, no scrubbing, no extra dishes to do.
Also, and I know this sounds ridiculous, but I notice that my food just seems better tasting when I use the bags and the breading seems like it stays on the food better. I KNOW!! I know it sounds like I'm just making it up and I thought the same thing when I was told that the bags make the food better but they really do and I especially notice it when I fry chicken.
I marinate my chicken in an herb/seasoning/sour cream mixture sometimes as long as overnight. Really messy to bread and the bags just help with that as well.
Most likely I'll be re-gifting this breader because I just don't fry things often enough to have this item taking up the limited space I have for storing my kitchen items.Read more ›
My final words is yes I would buy another and would recommend it to family and friends. Over all besides the seal i would of rated it 5 stars since i have a small issue with the seal i rated it a 4 star. It does help a lot on the mess. Flour isn't all over the place and your fingers don't get all dough up if you use egg wash in separate one. Lot better than the old fashion way using open containers and getting flour and egg all over the kitchen.

For all other uses I pull this out or a brown paper lunch bag. Both suit me just fine.
