Product Description

Get the same result as the "Cajun Cookin' Team" with our Deluxe Injector. Made to last for years with an ergonomically designed handle and a specially patented needle with holes on each side to deliver marinade evenly throughout the meat.

Amazon.com

Turkey or chicken, pheasant or duck, beef or lamb, pork or venison--any poultry, meat, or game benefits from being basted from the inside out. With this simple tool, injecting a marinade is foolproof, easy, and quick, and the result is increased flavor and juiciness. The marinade goes into the syringe, and the syringe's needle delivers it precisely where it's needed, with two holes near the needle's tip distributing a marinade in both directions--right and left--simultaneously. Made of plastic and stainless steel, the injector is durable and the clear plastic syringe permits monitoring of the marinade's supply. The injector is 9 inches long, with a 2-1/2-inch needle, and the needle unscrews for easy cleanup. --Fred Brack

I've had 3 of the plastic ones, took each one back within 2 weeks because the cylinder cracked. Finally spent about 10 bucks more and went for the "Chef Williams Signature Series" injector. Stainless steel and it hold 2 ounces of marinade. This is one of the slickest barbecue toys I own, gets the flavor deep into whatever I cook and looks like it will outlast me.

I saw this product a few years ago on a TV shopping channel and decided to purchase it. This is without question one of my most frequently used kitchen products. You will never have to worry about dry, tough or tasteless meat again. It is hard to imagine eating poultry without an injected cajun marinade. I have given several of these as gifts and everyone has commented on how much it changed their eating habits. Marinating meat without injecting it produces marginal results as the marinade can never penetrate more than 1/4" into the meat. Now you can have the full flavor of your favorite marinade throughout your beef, pork or poultry. You are limited only by your imagination and you will absolutely love and USE this product!

Deluxe?? I would hate to see the non-deluxe version! Just two injections into my greatly anticipated New Year's ham... and it broke!! I directly contacted the manufacturer numerous times, but got no response. If you want to use the injection method of cooking (and I highly recommend it), spend a little more money and get a truly deluxe model (i.e., non-plastic).
"Chef Williams" marinade products are fabulous, but the company should be ashamed ot themselves for trying to pass off this injector as a "quality" product. If you try to use this injector you will probably never know how good the injection method can be!
One last word of warning... Should you still decide to purchase this product, please be sure you have anternate game plan. Trust me, most injectable marinades are only good IF they are actually injected!!

First injector for fried turkeys. Used it twice before the cylinder cracked in two spots - 4 and 8 o'clock. Am now looking for either an injector with a softer plastic or going with a stainless steel chamber.
Had numerous problems with the needle clogging with seeds, etc. but that was due to operator error and not the product. Now have a fine filter to drain the marinade through before injecting.
One Star review because the chamber cracked after only two uses.

I used this once to marinade a turkey and again on a chicken. The injector cracked along the seam in the plastic and shot marinade some distance halfway through injecting the chicken.
Nice concept but a very flawed device. Find another vendor if you are in the market for an injector. I know I will not purchase any more "Chef Williams" products in the future and will search elsewhere for a replacement injector.
I've used injectors before and from experience I can say this product is not built to last and it will break on you too eventually.

At first, I wasn't too sure about injecting marinade instead of soaking it, I soon found the Chef Williams injector on amazon and gave it a chance. I was delighted, it works quickly and evenly because of the 2 holes in opposite directions. I have used it many times now, and it seems to hold up nicely! Great product!

I wanted an injector, but didn't want to shell out the $30 for the steel version. I used this during Thanksgiving on my turkey and leg of lamb. It is by far the best injector I've used. I used to use a baster with a needle screwed into the tip-- no more. The syringe design made injecting spices a breeze! Also the 2 hole design makes sure you get an even distribution of your spices. Btw make sure you put a drop of vegatable oil in the injector for lubrication. I recommend this highly!

I have had the deluxe injector for several years and also have had it develop a crack where the needle mounts onto the plastic. I don't know if hand washing would eliminate the cracking that I and others have experienced. This makes it difficult to get much marinade into anything since the "seal" is broken. A stop gap is to put your finger over part of the crack.
For a while I used less expensive injector syringes but found the black rubber gasket deteriorated if I used a dishwasher and in order to really clean the gasket you have to remove the gasket from the plunger. After a while I found the gaskets would not stay attached to the plunger. I don't know if hand washing would have eliminated this problem.
More important, the inside of the diameter of the needle is smaller on the cheaper units than the Williams deluxe unit making it difficult to draw up and inject marinades where the spices are not all fine powders. The one ounce capacity of the Williams unit is a definite plus.
In both types of injectors I found a small amount of cooking oil made a big difference in the ease of moving the plunger up and down.
What now? I may try a stainless steel unit or a squeeze bottle next depending on the size of the needle and construction quality. Worst case, another of the Williams Deluxe Marinade Injectors.
