I have never taken the time to write a review. But, as I say, this CD has it all... pleasant music for people of ALL AGES, and the most delightful monologues which include discussion of Cajun culture, and language instruction (French Acadian dialect). Papillion is a charmer, and Cajun for Kids is a pleasure to listen to. Many of adult friends who don't have children buy copies for themselves because it is a treasure. Papillion puts everyone in a good mood. I wish there were many more CDs like it. Laissez les bontemps rouler!

We chose this CD after enjoying other Music for Little People CD's (Big Blues and Reggae for Kids) but this is by far our favorite! My daughter dances thru the entire CD and has almost memorized it in the week we have had it. The music is infectious and she loves the stories before the songs which explain what they are about. She has also learned many of the french phrases because she loves it so much. The music is very upbeat and puts us both in a great mood!

Cajun for Kids is absolutely Delightful.
We have listened to this album for 3 years now and it is still her favorite.
I find that she has (in a way) grown with the CD... first when she was 2 she responded to the beat and joyful nature of the music... she began "Shouting" along with Papillion! As she has grown I find her listening more carefully to the songs and stories and asking me questions or telling me about her favorite parts. I love that this is quality music that I enjoy as an adult and that Papillion provides many levels for Children to relate to and grow into and discover new treasures in the songs and stories. We were tickled to discover Papillion's colorful and interesting ... and to Purchase ... Papillion's New CD "Hugs and Smiles!" This CD is just as much of a treat as Cajun for Kids!

This CD is full of happy, bouncy, can't sit still music for kids and their parents. Papillon is so likeable and a wonderful host through the world of the Cajun people. He even offers kids simple French lessons. My two year old knows Bonjour! and Mon ami! and coco-drie. The watermelon man and coco-drie songs are standouts! I highly recommend this.

My kids (ages 4 1/2 and 6 1/2)and I just love this CD. We listen to it on drives all the time. We all sing along. The narrations between songs are very interesting. They've helped my children learn something about the Cajun heritage. I highly recommend this if you want something different and fun. But then again, my kids also enjoy the Beatles and Santana so they enjoy a wide variety of quality musical styles.

This CD is infectious. The songs are great and the narration in between does well to teach both child and grownup alike about the cajun culture and music. The lyrics and music are so catchy even adults end up singing along. My 5 year old daughter's (and my personal) favorites are "Cocodrie" and "Crawfish!" It is a great CD to keep in the car! We have had it for probably four years and still love to listen to it.

My son (age 4) loves this CD and has asked for it on every car ride in the two weeks since we got it. Yes, the narration can get irritating for grownups after hearing it about 30 times--but it's tolerable, and it teaches kids something about Cajun culture and even French. I don't object to this; in fact, I think that it adds to the CD's value.

Every song is different & unique. The kids love to sing along. They'd dance in the car, too, if I'd let them get out of their seatbelts. Our family has seen Papillion perform- each performance has been fabulous. A great CD!

This is upbeat fun music. It teaches a little bit about the Cajun culture as well. It is just the best, most sing along, most movement inducing cd. Our whole family loves it. It is a great cd for long trips because the songs are easy to learn and fun to sing.

I bought this CD for my sister's children. They are one and five. It has become their favorite, so much that my sister almost had a heart attack when she left it at my mother's and we had to mail it back immediately! Even the little one who is just starting to speak asks for "Do Do'" shorting a title song Fais Do Do. They dance in the kitchen to the music. I have seen them dance for the entire CD. The narative portions are a nice break between the dances. They also now call all alligators "Cocodrie." I wish he would come out with another kids title. I would buy it in a heatbeat.
