5.0 out of 5 stars Cajun Night Before Christmas
I have had this book for almost twenty years, and every Christmas my friends beg me to read it to them with my Cajun accent. This is such a FUN book for children and adults, and it is written in the Cajun dialect so that it is easy to have a Cajun accent. I have never met anyone who didn't fall in love with this book! Buy it! You won't be sorry, and it will become...

5.0 out of 5 stars A New Way To View Santa Claus...., November 2, 1999
By A Customer
Looking for a new way to view Santa Claus? Well, here is the book for you. This book takes a folklore view of Santa in Louisiana. The illustrations are warm, friendly and give the reader a glimpse on how Christmas is celebrated on the bayou. :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Cajun Night= Guaranteed Pleaser of All Ages, January 24, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Cajun Night Before Christmas (Hardcover)
This book I used in a Christmas theme when I student taught 3rd grade. They absolutley loved it. Not only was it funny but very very well written and entertaining. In fact, when I came back to visit them a week after I left, they made me read it again. Good spinoff of The Night Before Christmas.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic, the new Christmas classic, everyone should own it, August 13, 1999
By A Customer
This book will be a great gift for any transplanted Cajun. I recieved this as a gift many Christmas"s ago. It has a special place on my bookcase, and is shown to all my guests. I brought it to work, read it in its true nature to my co workers and they all wanted a copy of it. This book is a must for all households, large and small. It is heart warming, and comical. Sometimes I take it out of my bookcase and hug it, that is how special it is to me. No home should be without it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun, November 25, 1998
This book is a real gem, both for a twist on the usual Christmas story (the paw prints of 8 tiny gators) as well as the regional aspect. It is a hoot to read out loud, to yourself and others!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very entertaining and well received when read out loud!, November 2, 1998
By A Customer
My daughter received this book as a gift in 1977 when we lived in Louisiana and it has become a tradition to read it every Christmas (even though we left the South long ago). The characters are easy to relate to because we know the originals - and these are so clever. Just brush up on your accent before reading aloud.

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful Christmas story that takes you down to the bayou, January 2, 1998
By A Customer
With a wonderfully funny twist on the original story of the night before Christmas, this story takes you into the heart of Cajun country at Christmas time. It also shows the variety in cultures we have here in the United States.

5.0 out of 5 stars Christmas Story, November 19, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a great version of the Night Before Christmas. Bought my first one in the early 70's. Now I'm buying a copy for each of my Grandkids to keep and pass on. Really a fun one!

5.0 out of 5 stars Crazy Cajun!, October 28, 2009
The text is written in the Cajun dialect. "An' all t'ru de house...' Its fun to read and will make the kids laugh when they hear you talk funny. St. Nick uses alligators instead of reindeer.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Cajun Christmas Tale, January 6, 2008
Just what I wanted, the only problem I encountered, wasn't with the book but with the delivery of the item. I ordered it on the 7th and it arrived on the 24th. Amazon was very helpful in solving my problem. I will continue to place orders with them. Thanks again , my granddaughter loves her book.
