Every single one of these looks like it will be tasty. I'm not sure why, but Cake Balls just seem to be so much easier to make than Cake Pops. I like that this book not only gives you recipes, but explains why the recipes are designed the way that they are so that if you were so inclined, you could design your own recipes as well.

I just made the Key Lime Balls, the flavor is divine, delicate and at the same time intense.
I also used the white cake recipe and added fresh cranberries, baked as directed and then made cranberry cake balls without any other binder, just crushing the cake and the cranberries. I covered them in red Wilton chocolate and put dried cranberries on top. They were amazing.
In the future I will use her cake recipes for regular cakes, they are perfect.

This "how to" cook book for manually made cake balls is perfect. I have a cake pop maker and my pops didn't come out half as nice as they did by manually making them. Can't wait to keep trying more recipes!

We were amazed to discover the wide variety of crunchy, sweet, creamy and savory dessert balls that can be made using a basic cake recipe, a binder and a coating. More About the Author

Dede Wilson is a popular food writer and television personality with her own public television show, Seasonings with Dede Wilson, in wide distribution throughout the U.S. and Canada. An additional show, The Holiday Table, began airing in Fall 2006 and will run through 2009; the 90-minute Holiday Pledge Special that she produced for PBS in 2005 was re-broadcast throughout the holiday season in 2006, 2007 and 2008. Wilson has been a spokesperson for KitchenAid, making frequent live and televised appearances around the country for KitchenAid products. She is also a prolific cookbook author and a contributing editor for Bon Appetit magazine. Wilson has appeared on all the major TV networks, and has been invited frequently to appear on shows including Today, The View, and Live with Regis and Kelly. She has also appeared on QVC to sell her cookbooks, has been featured on Bon Appetit podcasts, and makes personal appearances at Bon Appetit events around the country. Currently she hosts a monthly Bon Appetit segment on the CBS's Early Show.
