I am giving this book 5 stars because two recipes I have tried, turned out wonderful. I have made the Apple Butterscotch Cake and Cranberry-Creme Fraiche, and both are really good! I did reduce the sugar in both recipes, but then I always do that in all recipes as I personally do not like overly sweet cakes. There is one error however, which I've noticed in Lady Bird Lemon cake, the butter was stated as 3/4 cup (287gm), I assume that the correct measurement should be 3/4 cup (172gm) or maybe 1-1/4 cups (287gm)? Ms Christie Matheson, if you are reading this, perhaps you could clarify on that? And this is a beautiful book, the photos are beautiful and would be great if more photos are included. Overall, I'm quite happy with this book. Am looking forward to try other recipes!

You know that really good chocolate cake you can only get at that expensive restaurant you only go to on special occasions? That perfectly dense, cake with the wonderful milk chocolate ganache? Ya that one. You should taste it right out of the oven!!! Page 46. I have been looking for this one for years! And I did it with the grocery store chocolate (the one with the G not the H or the N. I can't wait to try it with the chocolate she suggested!!

The recipe for DIY Nutella and Milk Chocolate Pudding are on my list for holiday baking. The flavors of these cakes will make you hungry. I'm excited to bake everything in this book and make full use of my collection of bundt pans! I also love the photos and presentation of cakes.

I loved this book. When I picked it up I had been looking for a Tunnel of Fudge recipe. Much to my delight, it was in this book. I've made a few of the cakes now and each one has turned out wonderfully. So when you need a good looking and great tasting cake, a bundt, especially one from this book, is the way to go.

Im in love with this book!! it really does honor its name, as recipes are somewhat simple to make, super well explained, yet the results can satisfy even the pickiest palate!! Following the other reviews I started by the milk chocolate cake on page 46... heaven in a bundt! I did my own version by mixing both milk and dark chocolate instead of milk alone, it was fantastic! everyone who tried it is hooked for good! it is super moist, rich, dense! yum yum!
Tonight Im going for the Lady Bird lemon, which sounds soooo good!
The only critic I can offer is that the book would be enhaced if it had more pictures...not that it would affect the fantastic end result, but just a note from a cookbook lover!

Well written, well-researched, innovative. This is the perfect gift for the person who has been baking the same old Bundt cake for decades or the young baker who is interested in doing something easy and out-of-the-box. This cookbook rates in my top 5, next to Rombauer and Birnbaum.
