There was some problems, a few interesting personalities, and a few that you know "I liked" and rooted for.

I highly recommend this food competition. First, you really learn a lot about baking different desserts and breads. The tips and traps are very useful in home baking. Secondly, this show is relaxing to watch: there is no intense music and artificial drama and there aren't hyper hosts. And finally, even though this is a competition, both the judges and contestants respect each other. The swearing is gone, and though people are aware of each other as rivals, they don't act as if they are in The Last Battle. They act like adults in the very best way, and the difference in their personalities, baking styles, and ingredient choices are fun to watch. I'm looking forward to more seasons!

I have grown so tired of the manaufactured drama on most cooking competition shows that I had little faith that I would stick with this one beyiond the first couple of episodes. I am happy to say I was totally wrong about this show as it really does stress the technique of baking instead of personalities of the bakers (although I do have my favorites!). I really like Jeff as host and although I am less enthused about the judges, it does not take away the joy of looking forward to this show every Wednesday night. I sincerely hope we will get more seasons as this is a breath of fresh air in the current landscape of food programs.

So many cooking shows seem to treat deserts like a necessary evil. As an avid baker I enjoyed the focus on what really is the capstone of a meal!

One of the best baking shows I've ever watched! It is really entertaining and I can re-watch the episodes over and over again.

I am a big foodie and love to watch all the different food competitions on television. But I have to say this is definitely my favorite. To watch real people, regular people with all of their stories and humanity, finding out what kind of baker (what kind of person) they are, it's incredibly entertaining and uplifting. Jeff Foxworthy is always my favorite for anything. He bridged the gap between the judges and the bakers masterfully without making either one feel awkward or inferior. I HOPE HOPE HOPE they have more seasons.

Feels a bit staged sometimes. At one point famous baker Paul Hollywood says he's never heard of bacon and chocolate in a desert, which is hard to believe of a world class chef whose been around in the last decade.

I wish they had more advanced stuff (like the macarons!)

I am a baker. I enter things in the county fair and a few other competitions but nothing like this. I really don't know if I could do what these people did.
