This is the first software synth I've found with an interface easy enough for a mere mortal to understand and powerful enough under the hood that I can produce a unique, professional-sounding timbre. I think Z3ta has a slight edge in the "wow" factor of the sound coming out of the monitors but is totally out of Rapture's league when it comes to the user interface. I ended up buying both but am glad I got Rapture first. I've had no trouble using Rapture as a plugin in Sony Acid Pro or various Cakewalk DAWs.
