2.0 out of 5 stars Not enough knowledge, February 21, 2004

This review is from: Cakewalk Home Studio with CDROM (Quick Start (Music Sales)) (Paperback)
I was disappointed with this little book. Frankly, I was expecting a lot more. The book is tiny (60 pages) and offers pretty much the same content that is available on the help files of Home Studio 2004. It covers: The User Interface, Working with Clips, Loop Construction, Plu-in Effects, DXi Instruments, Editing Midi Data, Main and Aux Busses, and Automation. If you are unconfortable using the help files, then this book is for you, but if you want to learn about creating and recording a professional sounding composition, then this book is not for you. It would be fantastic if the author could take you from and idea to a completed project. I have yet to find this book. I guess it's back to the Cakewalk forums.
