Online retailers catch up with reduced item price!, September 12, 2011

Looks like everyone is getting the message that Cakewalk reduced the V-Studio 100's price to $499. I've owned one of these units before and hastily dumped it due to poor control surface use in Logic. It was a mistake. The V-Studio 100 is unbeatable for what it does in its price range. Alternatives would include the Zoom multitrack offerings and other Boss products. This is the only one that will record internal audio at 24bit/96KHz rates. The built in monitoring reverb/EQ/compression is top notch as are the A/D convertors. It has some quirks but it's solidly built and the drivers are massively stable. If you want an all-in-one package with quality components this is your box. You also get Sonar X1 Studio with a rebate at Roland and the new Sonar is fantastic!
