These are not the original recordings, they are remakes. Wait until a better, and more honest reissue is released.

Just received my CD, Cal Smith. It is everything I'd hoped it would be, that wonderful and unique voice! I've "known" Cal since his early days at Channel 13, Stockton, Ca. We knew then he was going to go on to be a great country star. Please release more of his CDs. There will never be enough of them. analemay@pacbell.net

This is the Cal Smith collection I've been looking for... except that it only has ten songs. Why is it so hard to find his music? There's got to be a market for it. I'm just waiting for some major record label to publish a comprehensive multi-disc collection.

I was really taken by this former Ernest Tubb sideman's singing. Intially, I bought this just for the song "Country Bumpkin" , but I became quite taken with the whole CD! This has to be the strongest 10 songs I've heard in a while. He needs to release or reissue some older material for us to buy and enjoy. The song "Together Alone" is now my hands down favorite song and still a current issue I'm sure. Folks, if you like country stylists, give Cal a try. I bet you'll love him, too.

This is a wonderful album. Cal's rich. smooth voice is as good as it ever was. He has been overlooked and under rated for years.

The first time I heard this song was in the mid 60's on my way to work. This CD is an excellent CD one of my favorite and would recommend it to one and all.
